An older style hotel, which I prefer. Quite well maintained, and the price is reasonable, so dont expect super modern luxury. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good, pay a small supplement for the full English. A repeat stay for me.

The hotel was okay and had parking but disappointed having to pay £5.50 extra for a full English breakfast, it didn’t show on Hotels.com it was only continental. More information is needed on the website! Food was also not offered in the evening. I ticked for restaurants when searching for hotels. I had to walk to a local pub to get food.

The hotel is clean enough and the staff are pleasant. We stayed in a deluxe double room. There was absolutely nothing I would describe as deluxe about this room. The shower was pathetic, just a trickle. The ceiling had patches of mould above the bath. The sea view was nice but the window was small and the sill needed painting. The breakfast was ok but would benefit from some decent sausage

The location of the hotel is convenient, but unfortunately, the cleanliness is far below an acceptable level. As someone who works in the hotel industry myself, I understand how crucial proper hygiene standards are — and the lack of cleanliness here was truly shocking. The towel had visible stains, the electric kettle was dirty inside, and many surfaces, including countertops and storage containers, were covered in dust and grime. Running a finger across the furniture left it visibly dirty. The carpet was stained, the ventilation fan was full of dust and cobwebs, and there was mold and peeling paint in the corners. Even one of the sofa pillows had a visible stain — something that should never be overlooked in guest accommodations. What made the experience even more disturbing was the fact that someone was sleeping on the sofa on the second floor during the night and early morning hours. This made us feel very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about security and guest management. Unless serious improvements are made to both hygiene and guest supervision, I cannot recommend staying at this hotel.

My new favourite Morecambe hotel. Stayed here twice now, should have tried it earlier. This is an older hotel, not slick and modern, so quirky, and the facilities are more basic, and may not suit you if you prefer modernity (try the Midland, and then pay for it!). More space in the rooms than many other hotels close by. Friendly staff, nice bar, a little quiet, which is fine by me, as there's a busy bar downstairs in the basement. Decent breakfast at a reasonable price

We stayed at the Clarenden for one night. Communication leading up to the stay was excellent. The hotel was traditional with original features but comfortable for the modern guest. The room was quite small but comfortable and clean. It was a very cold night leading up to the recent storm and the room was quite cold. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay.

We have stayed here lots of times in the past but this time it was very disappointing . The room was clean but had an odour about it ,the. Curtains were poorly fitted . The tv could only receive one channel . We mentioned it to reception on our way out and returned to the one channel ? Generally the friendly , helpful , warm atmosphere was absent .

Tired old hotel, slow checkin, shower a trickle, excellent location however. Breakfast low quality so I left that, coffee stone cold. Cheap hotel, but cheap quality is what you get.

We had a lovely stay at the Clarendon Hotel. The breakfast is well worth it. Generally quite clean rooms. The wifi isn't the best, the shower pressure is less than desirable. However the beautiful views and friendly atmosphere definitely makes up for it. The surrounding streets sometimes feel a little unsafe so I wouldn't let my children out on their own.

There was a miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel, as a result my room was double booked. However, Ody the night porter was an absolute star and sorted it all out. A clean room, just as expected. Thanks Ody!!!!

Hotel is ok, if a little basic. No restaurant although there are plenty of places within a walk. It does have a bar but the Davy Locker bar next door is open later and has much better choice. Staff were excellent - the breakfast however is something to avoid

We couldn’t even check in, the doors were locked and no one answered the doorbell or the phone when we called. We had to go another hotel.

Victorian hotel right on the seafront with views over the beach, bay and Lake District. The property has obviously had a lot of work done to modernise it with smart furniture and comfy beds although it shows its age in some parts of the fabric of the building. The area around the hotel is not the best part of town, and is a walk from the town centre.
