Good, well equipped room with ground coffee and fresh milk available. Good food and very helpful staff who couldn’t do enough. Used as a business stay overnight and will use again in future

Lovely welcome from the staff, lovely breakfast and room spot on.

Room was small but clean and very comfortable. Bar and restaurant are very nice. Dinner was good but not great, lacked flavour for me. Breakfast was very good. Ales were excellent! Staff were great. Overall a nice place, plenty of parking enjoyable stay.

Very welcoming staff, even though we arrived later than planned. Advised on some local beers on tap which were great. Breakfast was very good. The room was very cozy and comfortable with a great shower.

Staff were unfriendly!!! The fire in the pub not lit even though it was a really cold night in winter and had to beg them to put it on. Several items on the menu were not available to order Was told I could not go for breakfast before 9am ( on a week day ) and had to beg to go earlier as had an early meeting. When I went to breakfast however , there were only two tables that were busy - the rest were empty !!!

This was a great place to stay, small but lots of attention to detail and the staff were so accommodating. The room was quirky and well decorated. The selection of food was good and seemed to be excellent quality and beautifully cooked and presented. Would stay again!

Checked in, then I was told I couldn’t eat in the bar or restaurant, as there is a a quiz night on, and all the tables are reserved for the quiz. The quiz was noisy and heard in my room till late, as they opened all the corridor doors ! Worst stay I’ve ever had in 30 years

This was a return visit despite a poor experience earlier in the year. The welcome was almost non existent when I was shown to my room. The Boot is dirty and shabby especially in the public areas. The staff have a dismissive attitude and the level of service is dreadful with a lack of observation or care. I will definitely not be returning!!

A gem of a hotel based above a pub in a quiet village setting next to a local church. Fantastic food and attentive staff. Hotel has good parking facilities

The pub was lovely, staff were gracious and polite, evening meal and breakfast delicious. Unfortunately the condition of the bedroom was terrible due too stale water smell from the shower. Disappointingly this ruined what would have been a nice stay.
