I stayed here for the Great North Run in September. The staff are dedicated, to the point of opening breakfast from 5am on the day of the Run for runners! Exemplary and very easy to walk to the centre of Durham.

Very friendly and competent staff, lovely breakfast, would recommend this Guesthouse. The room was a little warm as it was very hot weather but otherwise it was a lovely stay!

Lovely stay short walk from Durham city centre. Spacious room with city view. All staff have been very friendly and welcoming. Nice cooled breakfast option. The Indian restaurant on site was very tasty and great dining option. However, it is quite small so you are best booking a table. Hotel is dog friendly which was great for us.

I loved this place. The staff were great. Parking is easy and right next to the place. We did dine in the restaurant downstairs it is Indian food and done very well. The place has lots of beautiful wall paper though out making it a unique experience.

The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options.

Anna, the manager, is a gem. She was incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. What an asset. The house is very well located about a 10 minute walk from the center. It’s near the top of a fairly steep hill. Room was clean and very quiet. Great night sleep.

Very comfortable guest house. Anna, the Manager, was very welcoming and helpful. We had a spacious and very homely room. Very convenient and with free parking. About a 15 minute walk into Durham (downhill, so uphill coming back!). Breakfast was excellent. Didn't particularly rate the attached Indian restaurant though - the one and only FoH chap was not that friendly, and food was okay but nothing special.

This place is full of character and very well-appointed. In a quiet location without through-traffic, but 15 minutes' walk from the city centre, also close to bus routes, and convenient for driving out to other places. Breakfasts are very good and you can book an evening meal.

Such a charming B&B nestled in a lovely historic building. It had so much character and comfort—I’d definitely come back!

Beautiful hotel located a short walk from Durham city centre. Clean and spacious room. Fantastic Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Bed was so comfortable! Staff were very efficient, nothing was a problem, very friendly.
