The hotel was simple, but clean and well landscaped. We enjoyed the pool, the views, and the easy walk to the beach below. Short drive to other calmer beaches.

We loved the balcony views. Rooms and kitchen were just what you need. The breakfast looked like a neat option and sitting area.

Tout était parfait mais mon lit craquait au moindre mouvement et pas juste un peu… on se réveillais à tour de rôle… sinon tout était parfait.

Descent stay. Not much to do around the area. Hotel is outdated but at least is clean. The area was the bigger problem. It is a surfers spot

Very enjoyable stay at this lovely hotel. Everything was very comfortable and convenient. The balcony from our apartment had a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the surfers beach. Nice cooking facilities although the kitchen could use a wooden cutting board. The location of the hotel was excellent for the superb hiking on the caravelle peninsula and the small town of La Tartane. The nearby restaurant La Phare is a nice place for dinner and is within walking distance from the hotel. This is a great spot on Martinique to spend several days

I stayed in here with my wife and kid. Great location in the middle of a natural park. An astonishing sea view. Very clean place and very helpful staff. The room is not very spacious but got all you need. The bed is not comfortable nor the pillows. The wifi is the slowest ever. If you do surf it s just the perfect location. But Overall i really enjoyed my disconnect from the city and work. I liked the long nights in the balconee hearing the waves and chatting with family. Really recommend it if you need to escape.

I understand the mixed reviews. The hotel is maybe satisfactory for some back pack travelers who might be in the area. It was substandard for our needs. We could not bring our heavy suitcases from the car because of the steps/paths to the room. So, we did not have access to our things. We also needed a safe and there was none in the room. The bed and pillows were horrible. The Sea View was obstructed and the experience was like camping. We checked out early. The Tartane area is very beautiful but restaurants were overwhelmed. The best part of this hotel was the nice young man who was first at the desk. Low water pressure.

Always a challenge to arrive at airport late evening and to drive onto Isle de la Caravelle natural reserve at night with few lights and to arrive after reception is closed. Security guard was there to welcome us, as was hotel staff at 7:30AM with a great breakfast - must reserve a day in advance. Great family spirit and teamwork!

We had a great week here at the end of the wet season. There are several well-signposted routes starting about 10 minutes walk from the hotel along the Caravelle peninsula. Hotel itself is fairly simple, but with basic self-catering amenities. We brought all our food with us, and didn't need a car. Very good swimming pool - deep throughout, so there were not people hanging about in it. Unlimited free tea and coffee at reception. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. We spoke French throughout, of course, but some of them know a bit of English. Not a place for lazing on the beach, but if you want an interesting, inexpensive and enjoyable time off the beaten track, it is ideal.

booked this hotel through Expedia. 1 wk before the trip, I contacted the hotel to confirm, and they had never heard of us. Fortunately, they had rooms available. I contacted Expedia, but was disappointed In the lack of communications to make me comfortable in taking this trip. There were questions or problems with my credit card number, hotel only spoke French. Getting nowhere, I called the hotel directly, used google translate, gave card number. Not sure what Expedia really did for this reservation. Rooms are nice, consistent with other reviews. Built into a hillside. Park at top, decend to lobby, further to rooms, further to the pool, or further yet to a code gate to a public lot for the surfers beach. Some rooms on lobby level, but lots of stairs, no elevator/ramp. Enter room through door to patio. Patio has roof overhead, with kitchen counter. Coffeemaker, microwave, fridge, sink, dishes, pans. Room basic, good AC, small tv, no outlets in bathroom. Shower only. uses European outlets. Don't leave any food (incl. bananas) on patio, birds eat it. Bring coffee, microwave popcorn, beer/wine. Nearby restaurant at top of hill, called Le Phare, has bar, maybe 4-5 min Walk. Superette Christie in town of Tartane at Vito gas station, is grocery, has beer/wine/rum, etc. 5 min drive. Closes 7 pm. Hotel has free coffee in lobby until desk closes at 7 pm. Breakfast Expensive, but we just made our own. Pool not heated, closes 10:30 pm-7am. Place feels safe, door locks weak.

I thought the hotel was very pleasant. the room looked out at anse Letang. The beach is only a block away. Small very clean room. Nice balcony with mini kitchen. The bathroom has a combo toilet shower space that was unique for me. The lobby has a nice library and spacious lounge area. The staff doesn't speak much English, but that's the norm here. They were quite friendly, as were the resident cats.

Great staff, very small bathroom, room was clean and functional , beautiful view of water you will get excersise walking down to beach. Only continental breakfast served. Room has fridge hot plate and microwave on balcony. We don't spend a lot of time in room so it was well priced with great view. We had a great trip.

It's a nice out of the way hotel and great if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's far away from pretty much everything. There is a beach near by but it's more of a surfing beach and it's very small. If you're going to stay here rent a car, it's really in the middle of no where and if you want to do anything at all you'll need a car or get a very expensive taxi. Buy food before hand for your stay. The rooms have a kitchenette so you can cook. There's only one restaurant in the area (which is actually really good) but it's not open every day and closes early sometimes so there were days when we went to bed hungry because there was no where in the area to eat and we didn't buy food to stock in the room. Hotel staff leave at 7pm so if you need anything after that good luck. I would suggest knowing some French to get by. Most people that we encountered knew very very little English and everything was written in French so it was hard to communicate . Our room was nice, just basic, our only complaint was that the shower curtain was very moldy so we would have to struggle in the shower to avoid having the curtain stick to us. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation and don't really want to leave the hotel this isn't a bad place to stay, the views are amazing, but if you want to be where things are happening and have access to restaurants and activities, this isn't the place for you.

No wifi in the rooms and there are many many stairs that you have to climb and descend with your suitcase. I was lucky that someone fixing a room gave me a hand. But the view is just breathtaking and you are 5 minutes drive from the beach.

A beautiful view with easy access to a great surfing beach. Only breakfast available but not an issue as there is a handy small kitchen on the terrace. Great to cook lobsters and fish bought at the local market! Also a nice small pool. Only negative: room and bathroom would benefit from fresh paint and improvement.

We arrived after hours and our key was waiting for us at reception. The room was down some steep stairs, so pack lightly as you will have to carry your own bags. We were very happy with the room, having stayed in Martinique before, we knew what to expect. The room was a studio with one queen sized bed. The mattress was brand new, albeit quite firm, again we expected this. The balcony looked out over the ocean and had a small kitchen, a couple of chairs and a table. We loved sitting out there, watching the humming birds and listening to the ocean waves. The bathroom was very clean, the shower was large and had hot water and good water pressure. The water did run onto the floor a little but we were provided with an extra towel to mop with so no problem there. The TV was a new Samsung and mounted on the wall. The channels are all French of course! There was a closet for our clothes and two bed side tables. No extra chairs. The AC worked well and there was also a ceiling fan. Plenty of lights for reading etc. The pool was small, deep and very pleasant. The sun loungers had cushions. The sun disappears behind the building at about 3 pm. The reception area is open all day until 7:30 pm. The staff were most friendly and helpful. You can order breakfast or just a couple of croissants to take to your room. The microwave in the kitchen is available during this time and free tea and coffee throughout the day. Directions: drive to the end of the peninsula and turn left at Le Phare.
