The receptionist is really 24 hours, someone stays at his desk. Have stayedcation several times in budget hotels with the same brand, but at 11 pm the reception desk was empty so had to call and wait. The room was clean, the smoking room stayed out provided the table and ashtray and there was also a coffeeshop! But only until the 10s, I guess. Only one drawback, locking the door is difficult.
