A great place to stay, though the building work outside was a bit off-putting. I'm sure it'll be great when the work is completed.

On arrival we found out the room had changed and as we'd veen looking forward to this specific room, we were initially disappointed. The staff however went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and helped make it special with free drinks and unlimted golf. The room we were given was lovely and unique. We enjoyed it as much as we would have the other one i am sure. There is building ongoing to the new spa and to some rooms but it was never an issue and the noise was limited to reasonable times so not to disturb guests. The play area for kids looked epic, the golf was fun and the breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice and food made to order as well as a buffet. We had a short drive to the Dabaling Duck snd visted Rising castle, Castle Acre and took in the beauty of the small villages and scenary. All in all a lovely place and location to explore.

Stayed one night. Lots of building work going on but not an issue. Staff food and room very good. Tried the container golf which was good fun. Only slight negative garden area looking a bit tired. Probably this would be given a freshen up before season starts. Overall definitely worth a visit / stay and would recommend. Would definitely go back as an ideal base if visiting north and west Norfolk.

The Ffolkes hotel is far better than expected. The rooms that are dog friendly were spot on for everything a dog needs. The closed in yard perfect and easy clean. The additional room facilities for the guests are high end and very clean.

A very comfortable room, chic decor, beautiful bathroom with two heated towel rails. Very good quality bedding & towels, plenty of electric plugs in places you need them. Excellent coffee machine, kettle, fridge & plenty of coffee & tea bags. Superb breakfast.

Our stay was faultless the room and restaurant was immaculately clean the staff were super friendly and efficient and the ambience was chilled and relaxing. The included breakfast was unlimited with great variety on offer and like the evening meal we had the night before was really high standard ( also very good value)We would definitely recommend Ffolkes as a destination to either stay or just eat at .i think you would be hard pressed to find better at this price or even higher

I was a little disappointed from my stay at the Ffolkes. I am a big fan of other properties held by this group (Byfords, The Pigs) which is why I booked the stay. The Ffolkes had very friendly staff and a really good buffet breakfast, but the whole style and atmosphere was off. It felt like we were staying at a Students Union bar. They seem to have gone for a pop art design but (for me) it doesn’t work at all and comes off cheap and tacky. Our bedroom was however lovely - with a regency style bed and armchairs and a roll top batch, which is why I have scored the venue 3 stars. They are currently developing a spa at the venue - which may precipitate a change in decoration - since the hot pinks and yellows will undo any calm achieved by a mud bath and massage.

Lovely quirky place, but didn’t like the room being heated with air con- especially in the winter. It’s just not the same as central heating- the floor stays cold, there’s cold in the cupboards and as soon as you open the door into the car park your heat has gone- perhaps not bad if the room was inside the building. But great breakfast, and lovely staff on Sunday morning.

Delighted with the whole 3 night mini break. Room was quirky, comfortable and clean (other reviewers are right - the hot water does take a while to come through). Food was excellent (pace yourselves!!). If you can’t find anything you like for breakfast then there’s no helping you. Staff and service both excellent.

Gorgeous room that was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of little extras including a fridge and fresh milk. The breakfast and evening meals were good quality, tasty & plentiful. The Sunday roast & pie feast is amazing! All the staff were friendly & helpful. They went out of their way to ensure the guests were happy. Huge car park, container golf and games. Love this place and can't wait to return.
