Wonderful first visit, value for money. Excellent parking facilities, helpful staff and cleanliness superb. Restaurant choice was good and the food superb, good well cooked breakfast presented well. Set in a lovely village with plenty of opportunity for walks.

Would have given 4/5 stars, as staff were friendly & helpful, food & drink excellent, location fab and room & bed were lovely and clean, BUT: 1. no net curtains (and it was hot so wanted to open window and heavy curtains to let air in overnight and in the morning, but no privacy without net curtains or a blind. We were on first floor with windows opposite overlooking. 2. Extremely hot and no air conditioning, so too hot to sleep. 3. Woke up abruptly early morning - first with car alarm going off (possibly not hotel’s fault), then the laundry van turned up - staff and delivery driver chatting loudly under our window, together with the noisy trolleys being rolled in and out of the hotel right beneath us. Noise of deliveries and staff continued after this. Such a shame, as all else was lovely.

A lovely room and superb bathroom with rainfall shower. Extremely comfortable mattress and pillows plus a clean white duvet cover. Huge telly! Decor and cleanliness very good throughout the hotel. The stay was marred by the shambolic service and poor food quality in the restaurant. The restaurant manager couldn't have been more apologetic or helpful when addressing our issues, including giving us a couple of complimentary drinks, but this area really needs attention.

Great place - room was in excellent condition and very clean

Stayed again in room 11 very spacious and powerful shower. Staff excellent, very helpful and efficient. Ate in the restaurant food very good. Free parking a bonus. Will be back to stay again.

The staff at all levels were helpful & friendly. They resolved my late arrival without an issue & provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. It is a pity that the bar closes at 22:00 but that is my only concern.

Excellent accommodation and super restaurant, food was great

The rooms were small but perfectly adequate. The rooms were not air conditioned and as we were there on one of the hottest weekends of the year the room was very hot overnight. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant hotel

Nice room and comfortable bed. Staff were welcoming. parking gets a bit tight so you have to be lucky to get in or near the property.

A well located hotel with restaurant and bar. Food good quality and reasonable price. Room looks newly decorated en suite clean and fresh. Located well for access to Hemswell antique centre and Gainsborough

Very good welcome to the White Swan. Our room was compact and comfortable. Despite being next to the entrance door and stairs we had a peaceful night's sleep. They had noted my request and provided us with a room with an easily accessible walk- in shower. I would suggest looking at the position of the toilet as it is very close to the wall and hand rail making access challenging. The sliding bathroom door didn't close completely leaving a 6 inch gap, this was resolved the next morning after reporting to reception. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal.

Wonderful customer service. I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers.

Nice location. Good food. Great beer garden and terrace. All staff friendly. Quiet at night.

Nice place to stop for the night

Decent sized hotel for a small village, good car park, pub on site, restaurant very good food and reasonably priced. Staff are lovely and couldn’t be better.
