Beautiful place and super friendly staff!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay, the jacuzzi was a highlight but what a joy it was to stay in a cave! 10/10 highly recommended

Very helpful staff. Arranged transfers and collected us and our bags and took them to the hotel. The room was sizeable and the breakfast was great. Would recommend!

A beautiful hotel built into the rock walls of a valley. If you don’t like stairs, this is not the place for you. We were dropped off y taxi near the Duomo. Then you took 30 + 30 + 19 stairs down. Then our room was another 34 steps up. People are there to carry your bags, but be prepared. Take in one bag if possible.

The staff was very helpful and attentive . The parking lot and taxi arrangements were spot on . Trust the process if you have a rental car . The spa was very relaxing and extremely clean . Samir is awesome and everywhere . He is alot stronger than he looks as he managed our large luggage up and down the steps . So are the desk managers . This hotel was an excellent location .

Hotel staff did a great job helping us with the off site parking, though it does cost $15 one way and $20 on Sunday. That seemed a bit steep for a 5 minute taxi ride. Samir was very helpful with our luggage and also with recommendations. Room was very quiet and comfortable.

If you’re looking for the cave experience this place is great, the room was very nice all renovated and very comfortable. A lot of steps but that’s Matera and close to dinning and shopping. The staff is great very accommodating and helpful with helping us navigate the area. Morning Breakfast was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again if we come back.

This is a one of a kind place. Very special. I’ve tried to surprise my wife on cool places around the world. This was her favorite, we got the big room with the jacuzzi. Very cool.
