It was nicely quiet in low season!

Overall, the hotel was decent, though a bit outdated, and there was no elevator. On our first day, we ran out of hot water, which was particularly inconvenient. We informed the reception, and they resolved it fairly quickly. However, one issue I found disappointing was the lack of transparency in their menu. For instance, I do not eat pork, and during dinner at their gourmet restaurant, I ordered the beef menu with a gratin. Unfortunately, the gratin contained pork, which was not mentioned. This left me quite upset. Another major inconvenience occurred a few days before the end of our stay when the air conditioning stopped working. I reported it to the reception at 8:30 a.m., and someone only came to fix it at 11:30 p.m. Worse, the staff member knocked so quietly before using their key card to enter the room that we didn’t hear them. Unfortunately, my wife and I were in a very private moment, and this intrusion was incredibly embarrassing and unacceptable. While the hotel has its positives, these incidents significantly impacted our experience.

Amazing staff !!

The food is terrible - over cooked and the same at the buffets every day - the specialty restaurants if you can get a table aren’t much better. No pool service and the evening entertainment was also poor. We had delayed flights and let them know that we would be arriving within the first 24 hours but when we got there they wouldn’t let us into our rooms until 3pm as that was the next days check in even though we had paid for the previous day on full. This is NOT a 5 star hotel - at best a 3 star

Resort is enormous. Best guess would be 1000 rooms. It was overwhelming because of the size for me. This is purely personal.

Simply amazing, the hotel was beautiful, clean and full of character. The staff were exceptional. I was always greeted with a friendly smile from everyone. I can’t thank them enough for making my stay so fabulous. The hotel was right on the beach which was immaculate.

Amazing relaxing stay - nothing but perfection. this is a large and palatial complex right on the beach, 5 mins from the airport (no noise from planes)... All needs catered for (we are a family with 3yo and 8yo). there were about 6 Pools altogether (prob over 100m in total length) and all were freshwater (important for kids) - rooms were spacious and cleaned impeccably, (decor is a little bit dated) fantastic variety and quantity of food and drinks - esp my favourites: fish, seafood & salads. plus pastas, chips and pizzas for the kids. Its a marvel considering the difficulties of import in that area... I dont personally drink alcohol but there was plenty on offer including soft drinks and non alcoholic cocktails Fantastic entertainment team - daily wellness/ aqua sport/ kids show, evening entertainment. the crowd were largely british and very friendly chilled out types. Well located for island tours also - we particularly enjoyed the south tour to Santa Monica beach. whlae watching was good but not for the faint hearted in choppy waters. We would come back in a heartbeat. good value aswell Only possible considerations could be to add a shaded area in the main pools perhaps with a thatch from old coconut leaves, update the colour of the room blankets to a more fresh colour, and repair the missing tiles in the pool. NONE of this would detract from the fact we loved every part of our holiday here - and THANK the team massively for our much needed family getaway

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff. Nothing too much trouble for them, the entertainment team are the best I’ve ever seen .. so professional and interactive with everyone, bar staff friendly and quick, maid service thorough .. reception staff polite and welcoming.. have been here twice already this year and just booked to return in December after the refurbishment ❤️

There could be some improvement on alcohol offered. The resort was beyond our expectations.

Lots of amenities to fully enjoy the holidays (swimming pools,bars, restaurants, evening shows ,excursions). Unfortunately for there isn't much choice for people who don't eat pork as most of the meals have pork in them. I was also disgusted to see coackroches in the halls and even in my room.

Everything was perfect, was the best vacation experience ever in cape verde. They doing a great job at the hotel
