Horrific night. Some crazy dude dressed up like locals at 4:50am started kicking and knocking on my door- Not once but for about 5 minutes. Not sure he was trying to wake me for some morning prayer or just beak in. Didn’t call the cops or reception as either case would result in an unwanted encounter.

This is an average hotel that is well located and is not expensive as well. It's noisy and I had both loud music and very loud neighbors. It's an old hotel although the staff is great and helpful. Atmosphere is also influenced by the type of events that apparently take place at the hotel and the type of "services" offered. That was not a pleasant surprise. On the other hand, I was offered a larger room, staff were really trying their best and location was good.

I had heard that this hotel had been recently remodeled and that showed. Made my reservation for a Junior Suite and when I checked in, they took me up to a small, single room. I asked if this was the Junior Suite and they called down to the desk and Found out it wasn't. They had to take me all the way back downstairs to the other side of the hotel and then back up to my room. At first the room had a musty smell but coming from Saudi, I assumed it was the dampness from the humidity. I was wrong. The refrigerator has mold all around it which I noticed the 2nd day. I would have checked out but hotels in the area I wanted to stay were booked solid because of the holiday so I just did my best to use the room for showering and sleeping (it was tough with the now recognized mold smell). I went down o e time to the lobby bar and was quickly (she tying there less than 30 seconds) approached by a female inquiring if I wanted a "massage." I declined and after a bit she left me alone. I was able to finish my drink and i avoided that bar the remainder of my time there. I can get passed that though as I am familiar with how many of the nightclubs or hotel bars in Bahrain hotels work. If the can clean up the mold overwhelming mold smell in the rooms, this hotel would be very nice but as a result, I would prefer the smoke smell in their hotels over the mold smell in this on for future stays. Especially since when I checked out, it appeared that my comments fell on deaf ears.

Access to the room was through hallways covered with painters sheets because they were cleaning in the morning. Room appliances are old and barely working. The AC was very inefficient. At night the hotel lobby turns into an indoor disco club with almost drunk "ladies" roaming the space and loud music blasting through closed doors. Very strange.

This hotel was a complete surprise. I have stayed at other hotels in the area for the same price and there is no comparison. The hotel has been recently refurbished and it looks completely new with beautiful inlaid tile floors, plush carpeting throughout, and thoroughly and beautifully remodeled rooms. It sparkles inside! My room was immaculate. The bathroom was first rate. The room was quiet and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The mattress was firm and comfortable and the bed coverings apparently brand-new. They have a lovely pool which is shaded and is located on a nice tiled patio with showers and changing rooms; first rate in every respect. There is also a very nice and well-equipped gymnasium. The only feature that needed improvement was the breakfast buffet. An omelet chef and a better selection of breads and rolls would have made breakfast more enjoyable, but I would certainly overlook that minor flaw to stay there again. The staff was courteous and helpful. I have traveled all over the world and have stayed in several hotels in Bahrain and this is undoubtedly the best value for the money that I have seen in the kingdom.

Staff was OK, but everything else was not. The entire hotel was "under construction" when I got there. Room was old and smelled of smoke because the windows would not open. The room safe did not work because all the batteries were gone. Even after the renovation are complete, I do not think I would stay there.

I arrived late in the night and they still asked if I wanted to order anything from room service. They also upgraded me for free to a lovely large room with two sofas in the entrance, double bed flat screen TV and bay window to the right and large bathroom to the left. Bed was comfy and clean with white sheets, although they had missed the previous occupants shower gel sachets which were left in the bath on the shower holder. Otherwise I was impressed by the service and the room for the money. Good value nice room

1. Maintenance need more attention. 2. Staff are very helpful and they are doing their best to satisfy the customer in the occurance of the rooms bad maintenance. 3. It is not a family friendly hotel; if u are alone it's OK.

The staff was friendly, but the hotel was old and very outdated. A lot of money for hard beds, not a very nice environment, the hotel was dark and a bit dingy.

We had a 'corner' room which is slightly larger than the other rooms; it had a clean bathroom, a small guests area, and a nice bedroom with a comfortable bed. Maid made the room everyday and we really have no negative comments. Some other reviews complain about the loud music (there are a few bars in the hotel!), but really, it did not bother us, we slept very well. WiFi worked well. On check out, they stored our luggage for the rest of the day and they arranged for our transfer to the airport. I would go back anytime.

Absolutley horrible. The room smelled unclean and slightly mouldy. The bathroom was falling apart. The mattress was slightly more comfortable than sleeping on the floor. The Internet service was pathetic and half the outlets in the room didn't work. It was located on the outskirts of the city surrounded by cabbies who want to rip you off for a trip downtown. Spend the time and money to stay somewhere else.

I stayed for one night with my family on Thu-Friday weekly off. The hotel location is very prime, in centre of city and market place, Manama market and gold market is very adjuscent to the hotel, no problems of taxi service, staff very co-operative and non-greedy, clean hotel , Musical night's noise is under control, Food was good for indian, and asian taste, for westener better order your food in advance to get good service, No distaurbance from hookers and drunk guys at all. Can be recommended for short and economical stay with family and batchlors. All the facilities for boozing is available for batchlors who would like to enjoy weekends or short stay. City center is close to hotel and very affordable by taxi. Check the price with 2-3 drivers for the taxis before hiring it. Taxi stand is just besides hotel, very good quality food restuarants are available besides the hotel, so one can get thier own taste just besides the hotel building. Thai hotels, asian taste, Indian food, Arebic food is available is near surroundings. Thai Massage centers are available , though I haven't tried any of them. So have a nice stay in Bahrain.
