Beautiful hotel with very friendly and polite staff. The breakfast is delicious. I spent almost two weeks and I absolutely adored this place. The pool area is wonderful. I enjoyed the gym and the hydro massage area (jacuzzis). This is included with your room reservation, you just need to make a reservation ahead of time. I noticed that they cleaned and sanitized each one after it was used. Overall it’s an amazing and very clean place to stay.

I really can’t say enough good things about this property. Perfect location to get to anywhere in the city. Well appointed rooms. Great staff!!! The he comp breakfast is legit!!! The on site restaurant is also great! Thank you for a great few days!

The pool was closed and they overcharged me for laundry. Be an earful they charge per piece of clothing! Ended up paying $130 for laundry !!!

Excellent hotel. Nice pool and sauna and small gym - excellent for Bolivia. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Only gripe is the coffee machine outside the breakfast restaurant: it isn’t free. This is my second stay there in 2 weeks and they had no indication of that the first time. I saw the second time they put a sign saying it was 20bol.. they only charged me 15bol the week prior.. minor detail.. My go to hotel when I arrive in Santa Cruz.

Excellent hotel. Disappointed that there was no notice that the pool was being fixed. They offered free entry to a water park instead but we didn’t have time to use it. Just really wanted the pool. But otherwise faultless. Amazing breakfast included. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens to enjoy. Great location.

I love Hotel Cortez! This was my second stay this year. The room and public areas are impeccably clean and ALL of the staff are friendly and so helpful. Many speak English which can be helpful. I choose this hotel because I like that it is locally owned and convenient for friends and family. It has lovely grounds and a nice pool area. The furnishings and artwork have a regional feel. The breakfast is very sufficient with an omelette station, a great selection of breads and fresh fruits. Having sung their praises I need to clarify that this is not a luxury hotel. I gave them 5 stars because they are excellent for their category of hotel. A couple of suggestions I would make are - iron and ironing boards available and to upgrade the blow dryers in the bathroom. ;-)

I stayed 5 nights in July and loved the beautiful grounds. I spent time each day meandering and relaxing by the pool with cocktails or coffee. The staff is very kind and accommodating. I chose Hotel Cortez because of their English speaking staff and the feel of traditional Bolivia that they have managed to maintain in the midst of contemporary amenities.The breakfast was a wonderful way to start my days with a huge variety of sweet and savory options. My room was sufficient and very clean although quite basic. An in-room ironing board would have been great. I will definitely return on my annual visits to Sta Cruz
