Perfect location to enjoy Eagle Beach. Food options could be better.

Quint lovely property across the street from the beach and a short walk to the supermarket. Take the upgrade and get a car. The world is your oyster and this hotel is the shell.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort. My only complaint would be the staff at Poisons on the Beach restaurant. The food was very good, but the service was inconsistent - we either sat ignored for 10 minutes or had water and menus as soon as we sat down. Regardless of how busy it was. The servers were very nice, just seemed rather disorganized and at times disinterested. The bar staff was worse. We were often served after people who arrived after us were served, the bartenders rarely made eye contact, and appeared totally disinterested in making any attempt to make customers feel welcome. I understand the slower pace in the islands, but there is a difference between slow but pleasant service, and downright rudeness.

Our family of four absolutely loved the Amsterdam Manor. The location was the absolute best. We were so happy to be in Eagle Beach. We were worried the pool would be too small, but it was more than enough and the beach is beautiful, and the hotel provided nice floaties and shaded beach chairs. Passions restaurant at sunset was wonderful! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the bathrobes and equipped kitchens too!

This hotel is not like the other high rises in Palm Beach (which is 2 miles away and very busy area). It’s off the beaten path but on the most beautiful beach in Aruba. The palapas are fabulous. Full sun coverage. Beach bar/restaurant right on beach. It is not super luxury but very sweet and cheerful and comfortable. Price is 1/2 the price of big hotels and I prefer it. It is down to earth and calm. Not a tourist trap. Staff couldn’t be more attentive or accommodating. Rooms cleaned and straightened several times a day. Kitchenette convenient. Super Food Mart down the street and it’s like a Costco, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s all in one. You can find anything and everything there including fresh fruits and veggies and meats and fish flown in daily. I’d suggest renting a car. Only 15 minutes from airport. And bus stop right in front. But I’m spoiled and want to jump in my car and go whenever I feel like it. Snorkeling is not a thing on Eagle beach but plenty of 1/2 day boat trips to snorkel sites and off beach snorkeling as well 10 minutes away. Most impressive are the restaurants. World class food. Try Barefoot, Azar, Giovanni’s to name a few. Weather always windy but it cools you off and keeps bugs away. Not annoying on the beach. Even if forecast is full clouds or rain no worries it changes in 10 minutes. Everything easy there. Great getaway, and direct flights from nyc and elsewhere. Just go.

Amsterdam Manor is located in a great location. It is directly across the street from Eagle’s Beach. A grocery store is nearby and it is a walkable distance to several casinos, restaurants and shopping. Our suite was on the first floor, facing the beach. There was a cute patio set in the alcove outside our front door, which was perfect for enjoying the evening breeze. Housekeeping staff are absolutely amazing.

They upgraded our room for the first night, but made the inconvenience of moving to another room easy! The staff was always friendly and always available. Housekeeping was awesome!

Very lovely hotel. We enjoyed our suite, and having a small kitchen was a great convenience . Very clean and spacious and comfortable. The basic staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar staff was not accommodating at both their bar locations. Bar staff standing around ignoring customers. They offer good smoothies at the beach bar, but it takes awhile . The beach was wonderful. It got crowded but we never had trouble finding a spot with an umbrella. Over all this was probably one of the better establishments to stay at for a relaxing vacation with plenty of activities in the area. I highly recommend The Amsterdam Manor. I would definitely stay hear again when returning to Aruba.

Hotel was beautiful and I had the suite room, S1, which came with two separate rooms each with their own bathrooms. One room had two twin beds and the other a king bed. Their was a full kitchen, dinning room and living room as well. It also had its own decent sized balcony with a small table and several loungers. Everything appeared very new and clean. Bathroom had large walk-in shower and nice bidet toilet. Light switch was outside of the room, which was a little inconvenient. Room was on second floor, which the stairs may be problematic for some. No complaints over the room at all as it was quite lovely. Hotel had a small pool with a waterfall and a handful of loungers and a few tables and chairs. It also had a small kids pool. The hotel also had a restaurant, but I never ate at it. Prices were starting around $25. The ocean was located across the street, which wasn’t overly busy. It a so was next to a walking path. There were a few restaurants on the beach or nearby, but all fairly expensive. Overall wonderful hotel room, next to beach, limited affordable vegetarian meal options.

This was our first trip to Aruba and it did not disappoint. Amsterdam Manor was perfect for us! Directly across from a gorgeous beach. Loved having a kitchen and being near the grocery store. We made our own breakfast and lunches and then went out for fun dinners. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The beach is gorgeous. The only negative is that there is a water treatment plant nearby and the smell outside was sometimes a bit unpleasant. If not for that - everything was the BEST!! We would definitely come back. We had a lovely, relaxing vacation.

Awesome resort! Smaller than the luxury hi rise hotels, but beautiful nonetheless. The room was gorgeous and had every amenity imaginable and then some. Location was perfect…directly in front of Eagle Beach. There were always plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available! And having Passions Restaurant right on the beach was a great convenience. The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. I would recommend this resort to anyone, and can’t wait to stay there again!
