I was incredibly happy I chose this location. The suite that I stayed in is HUGE (far more space than I needed!), it was comfortable, and had easy access to the city. Most importantly, though, was the quality of the service. I interacted with three different representatives at the hotel, and all three were excellent and helpful. In fact, one gentleman hailed a cab for me to take to the airport and negotiated a good rate on my behalf. I would definitely recommend the Midan Hotel Suites.

Relatively well kept except for some cleanliness issues. Everything worked well. The showers were small. Ac worked well. Location was close to Avenie mall. Overall was a good pick

Check in was smooth and easy. Room had a strange odor. AC in the bedroom wasn’t working. Washing machine smelled bad, even made my laundry smell bad. The floors feel sticky, and no slippers offered.

Midan offers spacious accommodation with necessary amenities that give more than a normal hotel. It's centrally located for many things in Muscat and reasonably easy to find with specific directions.

Fair price for what the hotel has to offer. Would not recommend the breakfast, not good.

We were upgraded by the staff at no extra cost. It was a nice offering. Our place was very spacious. Wifi worked well and extra requests were gladly accommodated. Our luggage was lost and we were pending contact from the airline. The front desk personnel took the initiative to call the airline and provide us frequent updates. We were given complimentary breakfast. The food was very fresh and coffee was made to order by the barista. We met the hotel manager and he advised that, if we returned to Muscat, we should book directly with the hotel and they would offer an upgrade and complimentary breakfast. The location was good for easy taxi services and restaurants.

Photos on hotels.com make hotel and rooms look much nicer than they actually are. Odd type of property. Like a small apartment, but kitchen in bad condition with a very bad smell. Breakfast not good and found mouse dropping on fruit.

The staff are very, very friendly and helpful. Always a ready smile and guiding hand with places to see etc. bery knowlegeable about the food on the menu. Some reception staff could learn a thing or two by watching the floor staff. The suites are very well sized, very clean and equipped for 4 people in the kitchen. We didn't need the self catering really but fresh bottled water and tea/coffee items being replenished every day was great. You can buy Big Bus tour tickets at reception who will also arrange a taxi to the nearest bus stop. We found the hotel restaurant a little frustrating because not everything on the menu was available for several days. 'Continental' breakfast is a bit tongue in cheek but there is a good selection of fruit, cereals etc available.

Staff seemed inexperienced. Some were nice, but others entirely unhelpful. Service matters. Wasn't blown away by the place.

We stayed for 2 nights to sightsee. The hotel is a bit rundown and bathroom not close to bedroom. We were given an upgrade to a 1 bedroom with large kitchen which was nice but not really needed for a 2 night stay. The hotel is hard to find due to numbering system of roads in Muscat.

This place require major update and refurbishing. The AC needed regassing. The wifi was hopeless, the breakfast was very basic. Don't expect any ambience. The toilets and bathrooms are tired. There is no room service. Restaurant and bar was very basic. We really spent our time struggling with AC and Wifi. There is nothing of interest near hotel. Pretty bad choice. We were fooled by the good reviews. I guess it is not difficult to ask a few friends to write good reviews as a four star hotel. I wouldnt even give it two stars. Stay away unless your need is for a self catering place.

This hotel/Apartment was a decent stay. The staff (Deepak) were exceptionally polite, helpful and courteous. Location wise, its a short 15 minute drive from the Airport, so that's good. However, the neighbourhood isn't particularly nice (its safe though.) The distance from the Old Town is quite long, and the nearby beach which is a 6-7 minute walk, isn't that nice either. Overall, I cannot fault the place, it's very nice and clean. Location wise - it's ok. Its a good compromise - you are close to the airport, the Grand Mosque and the Grand Mall (which isn't grand at all.) Bit far from the historic places. Prepare to pay RO 8 for a can to Mutrah (a sharing cab is cheaper but you'll need to change at Ruwi)

The hotel is fantastic - clean, friendly, great suite - much like a fully equipped apartment. The innkeeper and staff are especially cordial and take care of guests beyond anything we have seen for years. Don't worry about the location - it comes right up on GPS and is easy driving to anywhere. We can't wait to come back and visit.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Location is O.K and there are plenty of restaurants in the area and shops. A large store Lulu a short taxi ride away. There was some noise from building works next door and I was moved to another room for the night. Overall a great place to stay particularly if you are in Muscat for a longer period or with a family as the suites are very spacious and fully equipment for self catering. I highly recommend this very well managed hotel. The only minor comment I have is that there were no eggs served at the buffet breakfast and no multigrain bread.
