I have stayed here on five? occasions. Quiet rooms facing the back car park and standard rooms facing the main Windsor Road. Staying in the (slightly) noisier rooms facing the road is cheaper but I didn’t find the slight hum of traffic at rush hour bothersome. If you are a light sleeper you might welcome the car park side.
Rooms are all pretty much the same decor with horses and buggy prints on wall. Not much natural light and sealed windows. You’ll be using the air conditioning for comfort.
Can’t fault the location. Hotel right next to busy pub / restaurant with several dining options. Despite proximity, can’t hear anything from the venue from the hotel. It’s handy for dinner and a pint of Guinness and a short walk home.
Parking is often busy but have always found somewhere even if it’s not right by the hotel.
Staff have always been helpful and pleasant. While next door restaurant does breakfasts, I wasn’t impressed with their options (not a reflection on the hotel). Cafe, bakery and IGA breakfast options down the road were ok.
Proximity to Rouse Hill Estate a bonus. Only open Sundays 10an-4pm. Well worth a visit.
