Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the service at this hotel. I stayed here on the night of December 31, 2025, considering I was taking my wife on a flight to Denpasar the next day, so it was close to Tambolaka Airport.
What disappointed me:
1. Upon entering the room, I checked the sheets and blanket; they still had some slime stains on them, which looked like they hadn't been washed. Then there was the pillowcase, which still smelled of jigong (a type of cigarette butt), which looked like it had been used by someone else and hadn't been washed.
2. The floor was quite dusty under my feet.
3. There was no AC remote, so we asked the receptionist and they gave us one with dead batteries.
4. The TV had no channels, just a picture of ants 😄
5. There was no hot water. The only thing we had was cool and cold water 🤪
6. We booked breakfast to make things easier in the morning. And you know what happened when we went to the restaurant area at 7 and found nothing on the table? I asked the receptionist:
Me (S): Where's breakfast?
Receptionist (R): There's no breakfast, sir. Breakfast here is only white bread.
S: But my booking included breakfast, right? Is it okay if there's only white bread?
R: Yes, no, sir, everything is closed.
S: Okay, give me whatever breakfast is available.
R: Yes, sorry, please wait, sir.
So we waited in the restaurant for half an hour, blankly, and there was no movement. Then we went to our room to continue waiting while packing. By 9:00, we saw no food, so we decided to check out. When we handed over the keys, there was no compensation. Just a simple, "Sorry, sir, everything is closed."
I replied, "Okay, what can I do?"
Rather than make a fuss about food, I was embarrassed to make a fuss.
Finally, we tried to wander towards the city. And... several food stalls and minimarkets were open. Finally, we could have breakfast while waiting for our flight.
What's surprising is that the hotel didn't take the initiative to replace the white bread with something else as compensation. Oh dear...
