Gold Experience was awesome!

We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and our stay was fantastic. Our ocean view room had a great view of the golf course and ocean. There is a private beach and the pool is open 24/7. The gold experience was top notch and we felt well taken care of. I believe the hotel is great without the gold but the gold put it over the top. We would stay here again with or without gold.

My wife and I had a great time vacationing here. Staff was amazing!

They upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon. The rooms are newly redone and are so beautiful and thoughtful. The Gold experience made us feel like royalty, although I would think it would maybe include some parking perks or pool perks. The grounds of the hotel were outstanding. First time I ever thought - I would travel specifically to stay at another fairmont hotel.

Fairmont Gold at Kona is an an outstanding venue. People are trained, courteous and efficient. The price-value relationship is a winner. Comment, the beautiful tile floor in the shower was so slick neither my wife nor I dared use the shower. We are both healthy by the way, wanted to stay that way. A simple synthetic shower mat would be all that would have been needed.

Property is beautiful with a wonderful pool area and protected beach. Staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service!

The property was gorgeous and the views of the water were spectacular. We had an ocean view room that was worth the upgrade, and the beachside restaurants took full advantage of the views. We paid extra for the Gold package and the service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, helpful, and timely the making sure the breakfast, snacks, and evening appetizers were set up. Fitness center was top notch and concierge services at the resort made some high quality recommendations that saved us time and resulted in a great experience. The location of the resort in the Mauna Lani area near Kona is close to shopping and restaurants but far enough away that the grounds are serene and peaceful. Highly recommend the property and the upgrade to the Gold package.

The property is on a secluded beach about a half hour from Kona. The Gold Orchid Lounge was really nice and included breakfast and appetizers as well as juice, coffee and water. Most of the staff were excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The beach was a great place to watch sunset. It is close to Blue Hawaiian helicopter tours. We tried the restaurant Brown’s beach house. The ambiance with live music was nice.

The Fairmont Orchid is a lovely property, well groomed with waterfalls, koi ponds and beautiful flowers and trees all around. At night we fell asleep to the waterfall, in the morning we woke to birdsong. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Learning our names and engaging with us. Having the Gold experience provided us with a more dedicated concierge team, breakfast and canape which was all fresh prepared, local and delicious. Among the Gold experience staff, we engaged a lot with Samuel, Kacia and Lisa who all ensured our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to returning to Hawaii and the Fairmont Orchid.

We stayed at Fairmont Orchid Gold for six nights as a family and the services we have received were exceptional. Although we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready, we were able to relax and enjoy refreshments at the Gold lounge. Due to some complications we encountered we got a free upgrade to a suite with ocean view which made our stay even more comfortable. The hotel property ground is amazing with beautiful landscapes at every corner. The private beach with a cove made swimming and snorkeling in the ocean very safe and enjoyable particularly when you have younger kids. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and evening refreshments every day at the gold lounge and all service members were extremely courteous and have us very useful suggestions on where to visit. Overall we love our stay at Fairmont orchid and will definitely come back in future!

Pools and beach

The staff were wonderful as usual. The continental breakfast had a good selection of food and beverages. The evening canapés were fine for dinner for us. Having food available in the lounge was convenient and helped us make the most of our days. The beach was also great for stargazing.

Five nights of the Fairmont Gold experience. Loved it! Nice room, excellent amenities, friendly and professional staff.

It was a magical experience-beautiful gardens, first class service, areas to walk and great snorkling right on the property. The most amazing hospitality ever! We will be back!
