The private room pool was great. The room was clean, spacious, but a little dim in the main room when the sun went down. Our dishwasher was broken and wasn’t fixed during our stay, so we couldn’t use that. And housekeeping had a surcharge for the week, which I wasn’t aware of on the Travelocity app. The place wasn’t on the beach, ( and we knew that). We had rented a car for the week to drive to whatever beach we wanted. The room had a beach umbrella, which helped with the sun. However, there were no beach chairs provided which made our stay on the beach limited due to the high winds and blowing sand, making it intolerable to lie on the beach using our beach towels that were provided. The dogs were very sweet and well behaved. They did bark sometimes in the early morning. You have to be careful when moving your car to check that they’re not resting under your car, especially at night. But, we loved them. Diva and Bandita were adorable.

The apartment was amazing, offering a cozy and comfortable stay. Although the bathroom was a bit small, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The area was very quiet, making it perfect for relaxation. We also loved the nearby restaurant, just a 2-minute walk away, which was fantastic. Additionally, we enjoyed spending time at the small pier area where we could sit and unwind. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Great place to stay, very nice inside, and out. Great location. There were 3 dogs on the property because Aruba has alot of stray dogs they are everywhere, but they were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Vistalmar! We enjoyed the private pool, we made use of the well equipped kitchen and sleep great in the comfortable bed! We would return again and highly recommend to anyone who visits Aruba looking for a mini resort with privacy and modesty!

First of all you need to know that the property is not on a sandy beach that Aruba is famous for, the waterways in front of the property is cordoned by the Renaissance Island. once you cross the divinding street, there is a patch of sand that leads to a padlocked gate to stairs down to the water - chairs on rocks. It is a boatyard. Beyond that the property is clean with a wonderful garden and a small wading pool. Dogs roam the property (not stray), they are friendly but do sleep on deck chairs leaving them hairy and bark at night or early morning. I recommend renting a car if you stay here, the property is behind the airport, so you have to go by the airport roundabout to visit the main city or good restaurants. The fish house restaurant near the property is within walking distance (3 min) and serves good fish and it is frequented by locals. The inbuilt safe in the property did not work, check-in was easy, the bed was comfortable, but pillows were flat. The rolling bathroom door kept coming off its rails, Bathroom soap and shampoo were from local Aloe plant and good quality. It is in a safe mainly residential area with businesses on the waterfront. Maybe a bus service twice a day. CMart grocery store is approximatley 7 min. drive and the place has fully equipped utensils and Kitchen appliances, Property faces SouthWest, sunset on right side. You will be able to see airplane hangers on the NE side but not much airplane noise (few flights).

We liked how clean it was and that we had a private pool. It was quiet even though we had people staying on either side. Kitchen had the basics needed to manage coffee and lunches Was hard leaving the dogs.. they are well cared for and very well behaved.. Definitely need a car. Although walking down to fish house was really good. Next time we would stay in an upper level suite to get a better view of the sunsets. We were sad having to leave.

The location is a convenient drive to great restaurants and shopping in town and the airport. The was an amazing restaurant just down the road (less than a minute walk) as well. The personal pier was so relaxing with perfect sunset views. And we lovvvvvved the dogs. It was very hard leaving! We would 100% book here again!

Beautiful property !!

Booked 5 days and 4 nights, suite was extremely clean and comfortable. This property was well maintained. We had a small issue with the bathroom pocket door sticking, this was corrected immediately. We requested an extra day and was able to stay in the same room without any issues. I will definitely book this property again! A true hidden gem!

The room itself was good very nice and clean however I was not impressed with the communication as the hotel did not have the correct email. I had no information about how to get into the room and had to have the cab driver call for us. At one point during the stay we went in the room to relax for a bit and when we looked outside our door there were workers sitting on our pool and were just waiting for us as we were taking a nap. Very alarming and strange. We were not notified that there was going to be maintenance at all and it was very unprofessional. Owner of the property is very nice however this was a big issue and we will not be staying again.

Very quiet. The property was well maintained and the staff was great. The property dogs were very friendly and loved to visit. We will be staying here on our next trip to Aruba for sure!

Great property with private dipping pools and very nice rooms. Loved everything about the place except the communication at first was quite sketchy and we had no clean pool towels or room towels or toilet paper for a time. They did fix it though so I give them kudos for that.

The linens were stained, pillows very flat, dishes were very dirty with a bad smell. There was a two drawer dresser, which was filled with dirty cloths from a previous stay. Overall nice environment with lots of polite dogs who gave you a warm welcome. Extremely windy!

For us this was the perfect spot!

This was the perfect spot for me and my boyfriend to choose when going to Aruba. It was nice and quiet, the amenities were more than satisfying with the best shower heads I have ever used… the choice of three different pools with our studio suite were all well kept and very enjoyable with the hammocks and furniture. The dogs were all super friendly and not an annoyance whatsoever. Definitely recommend renting a car when staying here, the parking was no issue at all. Beautiful area and overall an amazing experience. Special thank you to Angelique who was very friendly and accommodating with excellent recommendations with some nice discounts!

Amazing place to stay to get away from the crazy tourist hustle. Everything about the property was perfect. Only thing we wish we knew was that the laundry was $25 extra.

Absolutely beautifully maintained property. Fully equipped rooms with all the essentials. Great communication. The sweetest & happiest staff I have ever met. We loved the dogs the most. Felt like I was home with my loving pets. This is where I want to always stay when I visit again!

Easy to check in and very cute and private

It is not a five-star property although it was clean, the pool was the cleanest pool ever, the staff was always available for questions (super nice and helpful). Location is difficult without a car but if you are there to relax, it is perfect. Nice little beach across the street too! And Fish House restaurant along with yacht club bar. We will be back but with a car!
