Nothing special. We've got a family room. Upon check-in, we found no water in the toilet flash sink. Kids also found a big cockroach in the bathroom

This is the best hotel for travelling with your pet. Staff is very polite and cooperative, we were met as if we were the most wanted guests. The room was small with a big bed, cozy, clean. The hotel is situated in the calm place, not on the road, therefore we had a good sleep with open windows. We spent 2 days in Bishkek, had a good rest and were very happy with the hotel we chose.

The Hotel Kausar was a pleasant surprise. Never having traveled to Bishkek, I opted for a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the center. This hotel surpassed my expectations in almost every category. It was a bit further away from the center than I had hoped but taxis are so cheap (about a dollar), it wasn't really a problem. The rooms were exceptionally clean though the desk was a bit cramped. But I just worked downstairs in the dining area where I could spread out and fetch hot tea whenever I wanted. The included breakfast was exceptional. Crepes, fresh vegetables, and made to order omelettes were as good as any I've had in 5 star hotels. The staff spoke excellent English and were happy to engage in interesting conversation that made me feel like I was visiting friends. It is a family run hotel and their pride of ownership really shows. Their internet was fast and for the most part reliable (it went out momentarily a couple of times during my 3 day stay). I really appreciated having bottled water stations on every floor. It may have been that I happened to arrive during a slow period that I got such personal attention but I'm guessing they treat all their guests with great respect and kindness. I will definitely stay here anytime I'm in Bishkek.
