The bar and restaurant was closed by 4pm every day! We never got the advertised sundowner. There were problems on one day with gas in the kitchen and they seemed to use that as an excuse not to offer a service on the next days. Restaurant staff were surly and very rude at one point. The restaurant was run separately from the hotel, with separate billing and confusion over who was managing it. We should have been offered compensation and I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Super friendly staff from reception to the restaurant to everyone else working on the Lodge grounds. Really glad we picked the Maycock Suite, which had a more private balcony, hammock and impressive views. Really good food in the restaurant, chef came out to speak to us each time we are them. Same breakfast menu every day to select two items from, then a different fresh juice range every day. Free (donation-based) group yoga and meditation sessions overlooking the ocean were pretty special. We hired the Lodge e-bikes to explore a bit more of the area – Andromeda Botanical Gardens, Bathsheba beach and further along the coast. A brilliant place to leave work (and social media) behind and properly switch off!

ECO Lifestyle and Lodge was a beautiful and relaxing escape, far from the tourist crowds. The breakfast at the restaurant was incredible; the service from the staff was fabulous; the grounds were impeccably kept. We even got to meet the owner because she drove our "shuttle" to the other side of the island. It was also well-placed for great surfing (which is not our thing, but if it's yours, it's perfectly located). I enjoyed a quick trail run and the scenery was amazing. You can walk to the botanical garden and to a few other restaurants for the days that the lodge doesn't serve dinner. I would highly recommend and hope to return!

This property is beautiful and serene and wild. It feels like an oasis compared to the busier side of Barbados. We relaxed immediately and were able to walk along the coast paths and into Bathsheba. One stunning botanical garden is walking distance too. There's a local community centre that opens little street food stands and yep, rum! And in Bathsheba itself there are a tiny number of cafes - check opening hours - sometimes the place is deserted! The jewel of the lodge is the Chef. OMG. The food was off the scale delicious. Authentic local food taken to another level. The restaurant is perfectly placed with views over the ocean and all the staff were bright and attentive. We are very fussy eaters and keen cooks and this service was faultless. The restaurant isn't open every day so check ahead. The lodge has stunning views across the sea and plenty of areas to kick back and relax and enjoy the roar of the ocean. 2 niggles for us. Mosquitos - as soon as the wind died down they were out in force and the mozzy nets are insufficient. And the queen bed is tiny and sunk and had roll. The rest of the property is in keeping with an authentic wooden lodge on a Caribbean island. Just idyllic. Points were lost for the bed and mosquito control - if these were better managed this would be heaven on earth. As it is - 4 nights became challenging by the last night.

A hidden gem, away from the maddening crowds. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in, and each day of our stay was a pleasure. Definitely highly recommend.

Property is overlooking the ocean. You get to listen to the ocean waves crashing against the shore as you eat, sleep, and relax. There's no tvs here so it's truly a great place to disconnect and get back to you and the people you're with. The crew is amazing. Stacia goes above and beyond to help you out, answer questions, and give recommendations. The property is older, so be aware, you might hear your neighbor moving above you. But everyone is respectful and usually asleep early. Dinner happens most nights and if not, there's plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast is served daily and there's a happy hour almost every day as well. If you're on a budget you can buy food at a store and cook small meals and snacks in the rooms, as you get a hot plate and a toaster oven, and basic cooking supplies. The place is achingly beautiful and the peace without the noise of the world and city and so many people is truly bliss. You would be remiss to skip this place and go to the other side of the island!! 💜

Great spot. Worth a visit and stay. Really good food. Only downside is amenities nearby are slim. Restaurants close early (5pm)

Perfect if you need to catch up on some rest. Comfortable room and although basic, has all one needs. The lack of TV is not an issue for me. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would consider staying here again.

A beautiful property overlooking the coast. We enjoyed the bi-weekly yoga sessions and a vigorous hike one morning led by SeaCat (from the lodge). We hired a car, and used it to see the rest of the island. But otherwise, there isn’t much to do at the lodge or within walking distance, but relax. Which we did! We found it a bit overpriced for what you got.

The Eco Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. It has a lovely view of the ocean and the outside grounds are a lovely place to relax. The area where the salt pools are located is quite small however it was never overly busy when we used it. Our room was lovely and spacious with a fridge. There was no full length mirror in the bedroom however there is a larger mirror in the bathroom but not full length. The restaurant associated with the lodge has the same eco theme and the food was outstanding! We ate their every morning and twice in the evening and we never ate a bad meal.

I loved the quiet atmosphere of the resort. A great place to totally unwind and truly relax at this small boutique hotel. The staff were awesome! Donna and Sylvie in the office were very accommodating, Simon with his rum punch very much appreciated, Sea Cat and his hike brought us some great exercise and Shonnelle who drove us around was such great company. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.
