Everything was great at the hotel itself. The staff were attentive and efficient. The breakfast was great. The only problem was a discrepancy in the bill. I had emailed the hotel directly after my Hotels.com booking to be certain that all was fine with the reservation. They replied that all was fine. Only when I arrived was I told to pay extra for my 10 year old son even after I had indicated he was to be with us in the original reservation. The manager claimed that I had only booked for two adults without a child. This was false. After a lot of frustration and ugly words this extra payment was not demanded. Again, the staff were wonderful. It was only the management itself that was difficult.
If not for this I would not hesitate to give five stars. But to wait until the customer arrives to inform them of an extra charge - especially when there had been direct email contact and the cause of the charge was indicated clearly in the first reservation - was very upsetting.
The location is also excellent being a five minute walk form the center and across the street from Hotel Des Milles Collines.
