What an amazing place - a true hidden gem! The yurts are spaced out (cery private), warm (burners installed), very comfortable, tastefully decorated with come with stunning views. The communual area is large, has all you could need and offers the perfect setting for disconnect and relaxation. The bathroom and shower rooms are immaculate and the staff and owners really friendly and accommodating. Really highly recommend booking - you will not be disappointed!

We stayed in the shepherd's hut, it was really lovely, private and tranquil. The wood burner is a great addition and ensured we stayed very cosy evrn though it was freezingoutside. The surrounding area is beautiful, lots of walks, a beautiful lake and lots of wildlife. The lodge was comfortable and really well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Hope to return in tje summer.

I was shocked about no electricity .. and the compost toilet … but as the night went on I hit the attraction .. it cute and cosy, warm and comfortable and the communal area I just loved …. I can’t complain at all … the fact of no electric really brought attention to me and my fiancée… I loved it x

If I could give this place 12/10 I would. It completely exceeded my expectations. Easy to find. Great facilities and close to Donegal town (20 min drive). You were provided with cooking equipment, plates, cups and your very own storage/ fridge area. We ordered the burgers and breakfast pack which were great. And there are also menus to order takeaway if you like. We stayed in the shepherds hut which was so cosy. Bed was so comfy. Candlelight made it so special in the evenings. We swam in the lake and chilled in the evenings at the lodge. Plenty of games to keep you occupied and lovely guests to chat to. I will definitely be back. Sunset was beautiful and plenty of attractions near by to visit during the day. I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Lough Mardal. The property is more beautiful in-person than in the photos. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Note that it's a long walk to the bathroom from the yurt, so plan your fluid intake accordingly. I would love to visit again.
