Fantastic central location. Very large rooms - there were three of us and there was a large double and a double sofa bed and also room for a smaller sofa bed if we needed it. Two TVs (one did not seem to work but we were not there for the TV!) Clean room, complimentary soap and shower gels etc. Complementary fruit and water in the room and also a fridge. Good buffet breakfast selection of hot and cold, local and western European choices. Impressive marble interiors and comfortable lounge areas. Staff were helpful and let us check in early. Very happy with the experience and would recommend for a central location, literally a few steps from Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity and other sights in a well appointed hotel.

My room was upgraded with no extra charge. I liked the room. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. Front desk is nice and friendly. What I did not like is that while I was sitting in the living room a random guest opened my door with their key...Mistakes do happen but what if that happened at night while I was sleeping...So that I did not like. Also I have been traveling a lot packing and unpacking and the least thing I wanted someone to knock on my door at 8 am for breakfast or what ever other reason they have been knocking so early. Will I recommend this hotel to my friends and family? Yes, I will. Nice room and comfortable bed. Oh and location is great near the nativity church, milk grotto church, taxi and restaurants. Will I stay there again? I don’t know, maybe. Thanks.

We were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get to the hotel. Be sure to find a taxi that can travel freely between the different zones in Palestine and Israel. There are some great local restaurants and shops within 5 minutes walk in every direction. Our room was a bit "bruised and battered" but the room was comfortable, Internet was decent and the bathroom was sufficient. The view from most all rooms in this hotel is high up on a hill and looks across at the cityscape. There is a nice lobby/lounge area with a fully stocked bar. "American" food is not here. That's not good or bad.

I was very happy with my stay at the Manger Square for my first and very brief visit to Bethlehem. The hotel is very well situated right in the center of the city. The staff was friendly and accommodating and offered helpful advice for a first time tourist. The room was quite large and, located on the 9th (top) floor, offered a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. My only criticism is that the place seems a bit worn and could use some maintenance. For example, the chrome hardware in the shower is starting to corrode; some of the plastic windows are starting to fog up; one of my bath towels was unraveling after excessive use/washing.

Hotel was clean, and comfortable; staff very friendly and helpful; stunning views from the room and a great location in terms of getting to places in Bethlehem. Only drawback was that the breakfast wasn't great, but this is not that big a deal.

We initially chose a different hotel, but after that one being a huge disappointment, we chose Manger Square. They not only sympathized with our experience at the other hotel, but helped us get settled quickly. I wish we would have picked this one originally. Great location, staff, and food.

This is the best hotel in Bethlehem, rooms are spacious, a/c works well and it is the closest to the Nativity Church, only one block away from Manger Square. Their breakfast is poor, but there are plenty places to eat within a block radius. To be sure, this is not 5 stars, but there are no 5 stars in Bethlehem. The price is right.

I am a religious pilgrim in Israel for 2 months to walk in the footsteps of Jesus & this hotel in Manger Square was just so close to his birthplace in the Church of the Nativity. Beautiful, classy hotel & wonderful, helpful staff. Even if you are not religious, the city of Bethlehem is breathtaking & so were the Holy sites. Incredible breakfast included!!

Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, simple and uncomplicated. I recommend getting to the breakfast buffet early. I think a school of piranhas went through there before I arrived at 9 a.m. - of course I know there are grazers who feel compelled to take as much "free stuff" as they can from the breakfast bar as they can fit into their handbag or fanny pack. The view from my room was fantastic (ask for a valley side room) and the heavy snow that fell overnight just added to the experience.

The hotel is in good condition and everything looks rather nice. I will mention, however, that if you need wireless internet for business or work purposes--this may not be the best option for you. I had to switch rooms because my first room did not pick up the internet at all, and even in my second room the internet was painfully slow and I was barely accomplish anything. I will also mention that the beds were a box spring with a memory foam topper. There was no actual mattress. I'm young so it didn't bother me much, but I would imagine this would be quite uncomfortable for most older people. However, both rooms that I saw had a great view and were nice otherwise. The manager was a very hard worker, very friendly and kind.

Rooms were great but the breakfasts were far from what one would expect from a five star hotel. The staff would not say what a taxi ride to Herodium would cost. In Jordan one was able to get both the cost of the journey and the price per hour if the taxi remained while one visited a site.

I spent three nights in Manger Square hotel. The room was superb - double bed, air conditioning, TV with BBC, CNN and other English-speaking channels, fridge, safe - and the breakfast buffet had something for all tastes. Most guests are out sight-seeing, but sometimes I was in during the day, and saw how professional the hotel staff are. The hotel appears to cater mainly to large groups, but as a solo traveller, I felt well cared-for and perfectly comfortable.
