Delightful boutique hotel on a nice and quiet beach. So nice to see the sunrise in the morning and the fishermen setting out to get their daily catch. The staff is friendly and service-minded often working quietly in the background to make sure you’re taken care of. The food was surprisingly good. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the view from the balcony. The only downside was that the beds were a bit on the hard side - and very squeaky :)

Food was great - with the full-board option it was probably the highest quality “all-inclusive” experience we had. Beach, pool, and water sports were all great. The resort itself is nice but still feels African which is why we booked it originally.

There is barely any pool at the property. Slightly bigger pool at the neighboring hotel. Food is really overpriced

Rooms and grounds were very clean and well maintained. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was superb.

Everything was wonderful, starting with impeccable service, staff is so attentive and make you feel so welcome. The location and the beach is stunning, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, the restaurant has an excellent menu. I highly recommend! And I also loved the spa!

Wonderful Boutique Hotel with a nearby 'sister' hotel. We took the half board plan (breakfast and dinner) and at lunch dined at some of the other near by resorts. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful everyday. The food was quite good at both resorts. The intimacy of this resort was great. Beach has some of the finest, softest white sand we've ever walked on. What a joy to stay here. Highly recommend.

I didnt stay, i move out to other hotel

Setting was lovely as were the staff. The food was very good but the room was very basic. Very small, no chair and nowhere to put luggage, only on the floor which was difficult and a trip hazard. Our outside space was great but our room was under the kitchen which was very noisy. Overall way too expensive for what we got.

It was right on the beach! Great staff! Rooms are great but #9 was right by kitchen, so avoid that room.

Highly recommend staying at Mvuvi if staying on the east side of the island! Staff was always attentive and made sure our stay was wonderful. Both restaurants were fantastic! It was easy to book all of our excursions through Mvuvi and made it super convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

Beach was attended to each day in front of the property,but everything to the left and right had a lot of trash.The description of the property on Expedia was misleading,They failed to mention the two properties are about a 100 yards apart.The rooms were misrepresented,one property is actually called the Beach Lounge which is the newer of the two properties.

Gorgeous quiet resort owned by Italian couple that has provided a retreat on the Zanzibar coast. Delicious food and great service. I was here with a friend after a business conference in Dar es Salaam and very happy I chose this place of quiet and refreshment.

There were three of us who stayed here for 5 days over Christmas. Everything was fantastic, the food, the environment, the activities, the service. It was exactly what we were looking for and more. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for a great vacation!

Incredible service from the staff on every level was what made this place - as well as it being beautiful. Very quiet and relaxed, loved the food (most other restaurants couldn’t compete) and was impressed by the tours we did with them. The room was stunning and cleaned twice a day. A little bit of peace for a week was what we needed

This was my best hotel stay in Zanibar. The staff was great and the dining service was so delicious! You can dine at both hotels. The body scrub massage is a must. The rooms was very clean and quiet. They accommodated my coconut allergies by going out buying me body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner.

This is the second time I visit Mvuvi (July 2023). On the positive side the new hotel is very nice especially the new swimming pool. The food is unfortunately not the same standard as last year and inconcistent. Sometimes very good and sometimes disappointing. The service is also too slow. I also believe the prices for excursions and watersports are too high. We did all activities outside of the hotel at much lower costs.

Beyond a beautiful setting, the staff and service make Mvuvi very special. Everyone is kind and helpful — including the drivers they use. They use a WhatsApp group to inform you of opportunities and activities. And a direct WhatsApp to organize transfers and answer questions. The breakfasts are delicious. I also loved the salt water pool. I stayed on the beach lounge side of the property in room 16 (up stairs) my colleague stayed in the room below (12) that had convenient walk out. Both had sea view.
