The HIGH LIGHTS about this property would be the rooms with balconys, the Excellent outdoors seating space and my favorit being right by the water.

Cockroaches in the room. Dishes in the hallway for two days. Room was filthy. Shower was dirty and had calcium deposits caked over the handle. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I left after one night and will seek a refund for the entire stay.

Les Acacias was a great little oasis in Djibouti. Being able to come back to the calm pool area after being out all day was perfect. Rooms were in good shape and had decent wifi. The included breakfast was also pretty good. Be sure to say hi to Zeus the friendly pool dog!

This is a well-appointed hotel at the far end of Heron district. You will need a taxi to get here, or it’s a long walk to the center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with powerful AC. Each room has a small balcony. The hotel is on par with most 3-star hotels in North America (eg. Days Inn, Ramada): Breakfast could have been better, and consists of many carbs. But, it did the job. Pool is nice and refreshing. Service was excellent! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My shuttle to the airport was late by 20 minutes, but this did not affect my flight as I was already early.

Suitable business traveller destination. Well appointed and reasonably priced relative to comparabes. Place needs a business centre though.

The staff was very friendly, but apart from that the hotel is far from being a 200usd ++ hotel.

The hotel can be easily reached from the airport via taxi. It is clean although not very well maintained. Lots of limescale in the shower but more than decent water pressure. There's no way that I could find to block the fan over the bed so if you're sensitive to noise that can be annoying. The hotel is quiet, good for sleeping and mattresses are on the hard side (which i personally like). Had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both - including a glass of wine. The hotel is on the sea well enough but I would personally avoid swimming. Swimming pool is there although not very big. The most annoying feature is the building next to it that seems to belong to one military base for staff accommodation. Their balconies all look into the swimming pool so self-conscious swimmers might be embarrassed.

I have spent well over 100 nights in this hotel. It was never the best, but the staff was warm and friendly. The hotel management has always seemed to want to offset the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Last winter I had stayed close to 60 days, I had an evening flight out. I requested a late checkout. The only consideration was to charge me full rate for an additional day, even though I only wanted to check out at 4 pm rather than noon. It is not like it is a luxury hotel. It would be consider a low end hotel anywhere other than Djibouti. It happened again on this trip. My flight was leaving late evening. I wanted a shower having had to work the day--Djibouti, even in winter, is still a hot humid place to work. Their only option was a "half day" charge, which turned out was nearly full rate. Most quality hotels would have given such a long staying and frequent visitor, a complementary late checkout. No, my experience is they want the extra time to gouge their loyal customer one more time. Well this time was the last time for me. There are other hotels in Djibouti. I used to recommend the Acacias Hotel as being a good value when put in conjunction with the great staff. There are still some of those great and friendly staff members left, but I am joining the ones that are no longer there and leaving too..

The thing that brought me to the Acacias was the great rates. The thing that has kept coming to the Acacias is the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming without them being overbearing. I have had several extended stays at the Acacias Hotel. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. The rooms comfortable and clean. The hotel restaurant has a great menu and a wonderful chef. The menu was updated regularly, which makes staying several weeks and dinning at the hotel very feasible. The restaurant is very affordable.

Room did not have a bathtub, there was no view despite being next to the beach. There was no table in the room, thus no work station. Food and business center services overpriced. Charged 20 USD for airport pickup, internet only works on one device per customer. Worth going elsewhere.

Nice physical structures, good breakfast, very clean, but terrible staff communication and service. Failed to send us a car that we specifically ordered when we arrived at 2am, then failed to send us a car after we called to ask for one. Told us the wrong check-out date, then got angry with us not checking out in time.

The pros: rooms were very comfy, with suites (couch can serve as a second bed), a small kitchenette with fridge (though the fridge actually working was hit or miss), very spacious and nice bathrooms, good counter space and shower, nice TV, AC. Hair dryer stayed on for about 1 min at a time but at least there was one! Incredible pool that was clean, large and lovely for an early morning dip. What was really NOT good about this hotel was the service!! We booked an airport pickup by forwarding our itinerary and were **not picked up** -- they got the date wrong and just were generally incompetent. Efforts to have them book us a cab got us a rate 5x the normal market price. Efforts to have the front desk book tourist activities were met with enormous incompetence and lack of basic English understanding ("two pairs" is not the same as "two people"). One night room service didn't even show up. However, they did provide us with two plug adapters. Overall, expensive for really bad service but the rooms were very nice (and the pool was stellar).

Only item I can give a ratinh nice, was the view from the window, to the pool and to the sea. the breakfast was funny, have say a circus, never seen earlier. The guards at the gate of hotel, I can't bring in any wine from the town. The Manager allowed me bring in my wine bottle. The worst at the end, I checked out on Friday (muslim holiday ) morning. It took 40 minutes, because I had wait for the reception boss, the young guy at the counter could not do anything, only to call the boss, who was home. Finally everything went OK, they gave me free of charge lit to airport Newer again

The staff went out of their way to accommodate every wish we had and to make our stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Be that helping with the bookings of excursions or setting up a table for us by the pool for dinner. Really exceptional! The room was well appointed and very clean, the pool area neat and cozy. It surpassed our expectations which were a little bit mixed after some of the comments made. The only disadvantage is the location as it's a taxi ride to the city center, but it's a choice between sea view of central location.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. It is a notch down from the Kempinski or Sheration but a much better value for the price. Clean, new and comfortable. The staff works very hard to be helpful. Some of them are very good; others try hard but are inexperienced and not at the same level. Located at the end of the peninsula, the hotel is fairly isolated (although walking distance from the Kempinski). Other than occasional difficulties with wifi, everything worked well. Breakfast buffet was adequate.
