This is a perfect place to be in the nature, away from the big city noise. Very eco friendly and nature is right there at the touch of your hand.

Just OK, light bulbs missing when arrived, food overpriced, beds far too hard. Towels threadbare. No safe. Very thin ceilings so every noise from upstairs came through.

My husband and I really enjoyed the two nights we stayed at Azuluna Eco-Lodge. Our room was very cute; the walls were artistically painted and the entire accommodation (room, sitting area and bathroom) was quaint and quite confortable. The location was a little outside of Porto Lopes, but it was quite easy to get a bus to and from the town. Being outside the town offered us peace and quiet. Galo, who runs the hotel, was very kind and very helpful. He took time to show us places on a map and explain how to get around on public transportation. Without his guidance, we would have been somewhat lost. As it was, we were able to enjoy lots of new experiences and we found our trip to the Ecuadorian coast very worthwhile.

Nice place. Close to beach, pretty laid back. Would rate it higher if wifi extended to rooms

Azuluna is located approximately 12 kilometers from Puerto Lopez. It is preched up in a mountain which allows for great views. Staff is nice but don't seem to be able to help with much. Most things were a bit complicated. The matresses are firm, there was some noise from dogs barking, mosquitoes are abundant; other than that, I highly recommend Azuluna.

Hotel is 15 km outside Puerto Lopez not 9. No swimming from beach other side of main road. No mention of main road to cross to beach. Up steep muddy track. Small room. Thin walls with gaps so can hear conversation next door. Stayed 4 nights as had paid. No hot water 2 mornings. Owner not interested. Breakfast fruit eggs and bread Staff pleasant and room very clean No veranda or deep tub as per booking. No curtain in shower over window with shower head directly above window. Room 10 has perfect view of you showering. Better hostels in town. Good hotels there.

With my first visit to Ecuador from the USA, I was lucky enough to spend 3 nights at the Azaluna EcoLodge! My girlfriend and I were on a romantic getaway and this place proved to be just what we were looking for. Magical sunsets, beautiful landscapes, and comfortable and creative lodging. We stayed in a room that was recently constructed. The room was spotless everyday! The staff was incredible and we felt welcome and safe the entire time. The food was delicious and authentic. The seafood was freshly obtained from the fisherman everyday and they even took requests if I had specific preferences. The manager set up a few tours at Isla De La Plata and Aqua Blanca. For a small fee he was also our driver and tour guide. Feeling safe the whole time. When it was time to leave I felt sad, for it was a special trip. I recommend stopping at the Azaluna Ecolodge if you go to the coast near Manabi. They are very courteous, classy, and affordable. One suggestion for travelers would be to brush up on your Spanish. Other than that, your stay will be relaxing and amazing.

Beautiful room and great food.Being located on the highway was a bit noisy but the nearby beach made up for it. The swimming and beach walking were excellent.

Booked us a tour to isle de plata w/ transport to/from

we finished up our trip at this place... on the beach. We found the place to be really lovely, the room was perfect for this climate... giving us equal amounts of indoor and covered outdoor space. We only wish there had been a pool.
