wonderful hotel!

It was great for everything

We enjoyed our stay at the Ikala Hotel in Quito. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is unique and has lots of useful and quaint sitting areas to spend some time relating or chatting. The hotel restaurant is good with an open setting. It serves a variety of items in a buffet breakfast. Rooms are not fancy but comfortable. It's a bit of a hike to the old town but close to the Mariscal district with a range of restaurants and shops and a nearby supermarket.

Safe neighborhood, plenty of places to eat. Very good customer service.

All of the staff members were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is cute - I love all the personal touches and decorations. I didn’t realize that toilet paper can’t be flushed, so that was hard to get used to. The only negative here is the noise level. The doors and walls don’t keep noise out.

Gorgeous! Why is it 3stars? Whoever decorated my room was either handicapped or had a friend or family member that struggles with being handicapped. I could write a book if y’all actually read it.

Lovely place to stay.

The property is gorgeous just like the pictures. The staff are pleasant and very courteous. The colonial still is very pretty. Housekeeping always make sure the room was clean and stocks with supplies. The restaurant waiters will spoiled us every time we arrived. I will stay there again.

The room was a little bit more basic than I expected. I stayed here last year and got a really nice room. This time the room had more of a hostel feel to it

Ikala Quito Hotel was situated right in the heart of La Floresta. It is about a 15 minute cab ride from the historical center, however, if you want to be near great restaurants and a more hip and authentic part of town, this place is it! Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The best part of our stay was the wonderful breakfast every morning. We had a selection of different Ecuadorian foods, fruits, and juices. We even arranged a food tour that was in the area one evening. If you're looking for a great boutique hotel in the heart of bohemian La Floresta, this place is it!

Not much in walking distance.

Overall very nice hotel. Our only concern was our first night we were very cold the room was very damp and freezing so we asked for a heater for the second night and we felt better.

Quiet, clean. Not terribly fancy, but comfortable. Ill come back next time in Quito

The room that I booked was okay but I could hear everything from the streets and it was so loud at night that I could not sleep. The room and bathroom were much smaller than anticipated. There was another side of the hotel that looked a lot fancier. I did not realized that they had two sides and the room pictures did not quite look like the one that I booked. The hotel staff are really super duper sweet and nice. They were very helpful with recommendations. The room that they put me in initially was on the outside facing the streets so you could definitely hear everything, the walls are very thin. They did not have anything else available. It got really bad with the noise that I had to change rooms really late at night when they finally had another room available, the noise from the neighbors blasting their music was more muffled but you’ll still hear all the cats honking their horns and zooming through the streets.

Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Called a taxi and provided great insight for restaurants. Great location. Safe for a mom and daughter vacation.

The reception desk clerk Cynthia was very helpful and pleasant. She went above and beyond her duties.She always greeted us with a smile and helped us find good restaurants in the area. She called taxis for us and made sure the taxi drivers knew exactly where we were going since our Spanish is limited. We will highly recommend this hotel to any of our friends who are planning to visit Quito!!

Al llegar al hotel tuvimos una muy buena impresión pero al recibir la habitación notamos que las imagenes no son del todo reales comparadas a las de internet.La hab pequeña y ademas la puerta descuadrada por lo que se podia ver desde afuera .Si de por si la habitacion es pequeña no deberian tener puertas descuadradas ya que se escucha aún mas el ruido .El baño se lo ve antiguo y la ducha no tiene ningun tipo de repisa para poner un jabon o algo de uso personal al momento de bañarse.Nos quedamos una noche y al dia sgte mientras estabamos descansando llamaron para arreglar la puerta a pesar de que el check out era en dos horas lo que no tuvo sentido .Los chocolates en la hab muy bien y la jarra de agua.El desayuno es bueno y con variedad.Considero que el hotel tiene otras habitaciones que deben ser mucho mejores y por ende la.experiencia otra .En lo personal en esa habitación no volveria.El tv cable tenía problemas y el televisor estaba arriba de la puerta del baño. .
