Dining was limited with only 1 restaurant to choose from outside of daily buffet options. The rooms were small and AC was not working well. The physical keys were an inconvenience and the rooms were far from lobby/restaurant/pool and beach. Overall, staff was nice and accommodating. But will not be returning to this particular resort.

Everything was so perfect the staff and everyone else except this guy that works in the night by the loby his name is Finesse be aware of him very rude Man he treated us like we don’t belong there and like don’t care about costumers at all everyone else was super friendly and helpful specially the day dancers chocolate and happy boy and the rest of them very nice people. Please look out for that finesse Guy if he’s fired i would come back again . Btw no Wifi on rooms only loby .

PlayBachata was honestly a huge disappointment. From the moment I arrived, I didn’t feel welcome. The staff were rude and aggressive when speaking to people — no smiles, no respect, just attitude. There were serious issues with the environment too: bugs everywhere, dirty facilities, and overall poor hygiene standards. For the price, that’s unacceptable. What bothered me most was the clear favoritism and borderline racist behavior from some staff. If you weren’t part of their inner circle or looked a certain way, you were treated differently — like you didn’t belong. It was uncomfortable and disheartening. The food? Terrible. It was the same thing every day, bland and barely edible. And while they said drinks were included, you had to pay extra if you wanted anything other than the basic cheap stuff. Even something as simple as a Corona beer wasn’t included. Seriously? This event had potential, but between the bad attitude, poor organization, lack of diversity, and hidden charges — it felt more like a money grab than a celebration of bachata. I won’t be coming back.

The hotel overall was clean, the food was okay (not the best) and there is only one pool available, so it is very crowded. The rooms are outdated so many things are broken or are poorly maintained.

The fod is not well prepared to be buffet.to long line to pick up .never have to do so long line to eat

In the photos the rooms are not what you expect when seeing them in person. On our first night we had dinner in the dining area and unfortunatley dealt with a large group of people just jumping in line and their small children touching the food and the staff just watched and let it happen. The worst part was sitting down to eat our dinner and having a cockroach crawl up the wall right next to us.

First time staying in this hotel a the experience by far was the worst experience ever for my family. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was very dirty infested with ants, roaches and the all the simple utilities like the ceiling fan, safe, wall outlet broken. Had to go to lobby to charge cell phones. It was very overcrowded. Do better please. Especially when you pay a good amount of money for just a few days stay.

The price was very decent and it was okay

The light went out several times during the night at the property, the AC barely worked as well. In our first night, there were roaches in the bathroom. Throughout the resort, It was very overcrowded and there was lack of sitting while at the dinning areas and public gathering areas.

No good

It was ok but when we first got there the room we were placed in was super hot, the AC was not working. We informed the staff that the AC was not working and they said they would have maintenance come and fix it. During this time we decided to go to the beach. We returned to the room 2.5hrs later but no improvement, the room was just as hot and when I mean hot it was so hot that we were sweating hot. We went to eat at the buffet which was ok but not many options. We then went to one of the bars and was informed that despite us getting the all inclusive package that we were not able to go to all the restaurants or bars unless we upgraded. We then went to the front desk and informed them of the room still being super hot and not having full access and requested to pay the extra to be upgraded. After we paid the extra for the upgrade and was shown to our new room we found that the new room was not much better as far as temperature went, despite the AC being on. The first night the room was so hot and had a mold smell in the air I had a hard time sleeping and allergies were acting up due to the air quality-it literally felt cooler outside than in the room. It literally took 3 full days before the room cooled off to a comfortable temperature. We understood staying in a hot climate country that the AC in the rooms might not be as good as at home but not this. Also there was half empty opened water bottles in fridge in upgraded room.

Bad place

I loved Playabachata Spa / Resort. I hope to return soon. And what makes this property unique are the employees. Everyone was cordial and attentive. The shows were fabulous. What I didn't like and could be improved is that the children would go into the restaurants and put their hands in the food. Parents should accompany them at all times, so that the food does not get contaminated. Otherwise, excellent place and I recommend it.

The staff and people who works here deserve a better benefits and job securement for the excellent job and dedication, as the staff has to deal with the customers that tend to cut Lines on the dinning areas and not even notice how disrespectful they are towards others in general, I hate the fact my culture normalize the fact of mostly being desperate and not been able to wait for their turn when it comes to make a simple Line and organization 🇩🇴.. besides good and humble place to stay and food is delicious 😋

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The food was terrible, and I got sick for two days after eating there. The staff provides no attention or care, and many of them are rude. The place feels very rundown and dirty. The rooms are extremely outdated, with broken bathrooms and bathtubs, dirty pillows, and damaged air conditioning. The drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are awful and taste cheap. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
