This place is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. It is a vineyard on the side of a mountain so getting up there is steep and not for the faint of heart. Once you arrive, there is lots of parking available. Although there is no reception and we didnt receive our checkin instructions ahead of time, we called the number and received our instructions over the phone. Youll receive your code to retrieve your physical keys from a box, then youll be able to enter the main building and 2nd key for your room (we had a room with the view of the vineyards). Breakfast was absolutely delicious and they made sure to have lots of food, the two ladies were kind and helpful every morning. I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience something authentic and beautiful!

Loved our stay. Joachim and Annabel were lovely and the building was stunning. Really well kept, clean and the views were to die for. Small pool, great breakfast spread and lovely clean rooms with character. Was maybe a 5-10 min drive into Regua or else over to Lamega. We did a wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Didn’t want to leave and would absolutely come back. Thanks for everything!

Staying here was restful, and very peaceful. Perfect! We enjoyed the privacy of the location. The generous breakfast, and attention to details. It is centrally located to the area sights we wanted to see. It was lovely to have the vineyards to walk through, beautiful views of the river Douro. Definitely recommended!

This was a family owned property. Very friendly and they made you feel like it was your home too. Only 6 rooms, so very quiet high in the Duoro Valley, in the middle of grapevines.

I’m someone who likes a clean place with good linens, this place hit the mark! . It’s my second time staying here. Annabela is so wonderful and helpful. She works so hard with another young lady to serve a fabulous breakfast of eggs, meats, cheeses along with so many home made jams and bread. It’s very close to many restaurants and stores. You’re going to love it!

This was such a peaceful stop. The Quinta is spacious and quiet with gorgeous views. The rooms are beautiful and unique. The pool provided welcome relief from the heat. You have to taxi into town but their taxi recommendation was reliable and easy to contact. The breakfast was delicious and we would happily stay again!! Great place for families!

Very scenic, small historic vineyard property, set on terraced hillside not far from the Douro River. Staff was very nice and helpful, and prepared a wonderful breakfast. Very clean, charming room. Not walking distance to the town, but parking on site. Should be comfortable with heights, and mountain driving on a steep switchback road, but prize is the amazing view.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Quinta do Valdalagea and wish we had stayed longer! The Quinta is charming, beautifully maintained, very clean, and peaceful. Annabella welcomed us to our stay and was so kind and hospitable. A lovely breakfast spread was prepared for us every morning, and made accommodations for my vegetarian friend. The vineyard is stunning so make sure to do a hike around the grounds. I would love to stay here again in the future. We highly recommend staying at this Quinta as well as their wine tasting!

Quaint old building, up a steep road with great views of the valley. Be sure to schedule a wine tasting with plenty of notice. Full access to a shared kitchen, and they serve a complete breakfast.

Quinta do Valdalágea is a wonderful place to stay! Our room was like being transported back to the 19th C, but with modern bath fixtures. There’s a common area living/dining room space where breakfast is served and where you can also relax and use a small kitchenette. Downstairs is the wine tasting room where we enjoyed their award-winning wines. Definitely try their Branco Reserva which has a silky mouthfeel and well-balanced acidity. But the best part of Quinta do Valdalágea is Anabela, who made us feel like family. She’s so sweet and took such good care of us from the moment we arrived. We will always remember her kindness and graciousness, as well as her delicious fresh-squeezed juice from Algarve oranges and homemade quince marmalade!

Aanrader!
