We booked our stay for 2 weeks in July 2024. We were apprehensive due to the property not having any reviews on Expedia. We decided to take a chance and book it. I am so happy we did! This is the most amazing villa!! It is located in a very quiet and quaint town of Joppolo. The villa was beautiful! It was decorated so cute, and it felt like home. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for the time we were there. We shopped at local grocery stores and cooked almost every night. The villa had a washer and laundry soap provided which smelled amazing. The terrace was my favorite place to be. It overlooked the beautiful ocean which was about 150 yards away. The sunset and sun rises were the best I have ever seen. It was a 30-minute drive to Tropea to enjoy shopping and tourism. It was an hour to Reggio Calabria airport and the ferry to Sicily. Let me tell you about the host, Mrs. Jole! We missed our connecting flight and had to wait 7 hours for the next flight. We were extremely late checking in. It was 1AM before we got to the villa. We called Mrs. Jole and she graciously was there to meet within minutes. She was accompanied by her lovely daughter who helped translate to English. They were both so warm and inviting and we felt like we were visiting family. She explained a few things about the villa and told us call her if we needed anything. The weather was hot but the villa had the best AC! We felt safe and comfortable, and it was so quiet and tranquil. We will be back!
