Location was perfect however place was basic lack of lighting limited dishes and plugs dor charging. Furniture like couch not comfortable and air conditioning not working properly

We had a great stay at Aparthotel Oporto Anselmo. The place is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. We had a room with private hot tub and small garden, the hot tub may need maintenance as the hydro jets that creates the bubbles was not working very well but otherwise was a great temperature and clean. It’s located in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk to the nearest selection of cafes and the main promenade, which was perfect for a relaxed stay. There’s also a small shop and grocery store less than 5 minutes away, which was really convenient. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable and peaceful base in Porto.

Fantastic reception staff who took the time to make us feel at home and couldn’t have been more helpful and informative. The cleaning regime was exceptional and the apartment was roomy, comfortable, well provisioned and private. Great quiet location only 10 mins from Bolhão market with a lovely garden and pool. Highly recommend.

Mixed experience - communication prior to check in was virtually non existent. Other than one message in Portuguese and one in French when we booked, there was no response to our messages (sent via the Expedia app, on email, WhatsApp or tel calls) until Expedia customer services got involved I was worried we’d turn up at 9pm and not be able to get in and almost booked an airport hotel as back up. An unnecessary stress. (Apparently they have a problem with Expedia messages so if you need a late check in, plan ahead. Mine never got answered. ) My partner eventually got a reply to a WhatsApp message with 2 sets of instructions for late check in - one was to a different property. Once in, the apartment was lovely. Chic decor, well equipped. All clean except for a slightly stained sofa. The bed was on a wooden frame which creaked when you got within a metre of it. Loved the garden and even used the pool due to some luck with April weather. The balcony was great - usable even in showers as it was partially covered. We walked absolutely everywhere around the city and it was a great base. If you are relatively fit, it’s very walkable. We liked the area and it felt safe. We had issues with excessive noise outside from other guests - a very large group from the uk who would have been far better somewhere with sole occupancy or a gym. The noise got bad enough that we went out. The hotel did not address it. Overall, nice apartment but unsure we’d return.

A lovely place for a base, within walking distance of local transport but was still a quiet location. The staff were so helpful and were happy to help with anything. They suggested the best places to visit and guided us to the local shops. Would stay again

Very clean, comfortable apartment and well stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, etc. We loved the hot tub and the location was very convenient. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

The apartment was very nice and minimalist, it was beautiful! The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, we ended up with torticolis and a bad backache. The hall smells a lot of cigarette. There is not enough hot water for 4 ppl taking a shower, probably for just 2 people, otherwise you will need to wait until it heats up again. The electric towel rack did not work so our towels were humid on the second day. It needs a lot of improvement. Parking is twenty euros per day which I think it was extremely expensive.

Floor was dirty. Tv did not work. There were ants everywhere in the bathroom. Even had biting things in the room during our sleep. It did have nice amenities for use like the heated towel rack. Kitchen items. Good enough for a short stay but would not return.

Hotel is well located close to tourist attractions. Apartments we're spacious and stylish, however beds and couch were uncomfortable and tv did not work. Towels were very worn and threadbare and we found belongings from a previous guest in a cupboard.

Very nice and spacious. Only downside was that our AC did not work.

We had 6 nights at Oporto Anselmo and the location, rooms, service, facilities and surrounding area were spot on. You can Uber anywhere for €4, plus if you are under 50, it is only a gentle 8 minute stroll downhill into town!! Uber back!! There are plenty of good restaurants and bars within 2-3 minutes of apartments, plus 2–3 good cafe / bakeries for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay there was some loud music a couple of nights not sure where from up the street. Other than that it was very good.

Air conditioner work very poorly, super hot in the room We had the ground floor room... our bedrooms were in the basement, no light and very muggy - like a dungeon The provided breakfast is terrible... better not to provide, just provide water bottles instead Do not recommend

Difficult review to write as there are good bits and bad bits.. The apartment itself was lovely and extremely well equipped. The garden area was really nice with a pool, a hot tub plenty of sun beds and chairs. Breakfast is delivered to your room.However on our first night the air con leaked an we realised we had a massive puddle on the floor and a soggy rug. The guy at the desk was great and brought up towels to mop it up. He said he would arrange for it to be fixed. There was no one on the desk the next morning but when we got back in the afternoon nothing had been done and there was was a lot more water. I asked the girl on the desk if this could be fixed. She was very rude and said they had only one maintenance man and it could take 2-3 days to fix it. She did agree to send house keeping up . They mopped it, removed the rug and put a towel round the a/c. Overnight it leaked a lot more and we had to put down towels to walk to the bathroom. There was no one at the desk the next morning. I emailed the hotel and asked the to please fix it. When we returned it was fixed and the floor was dry. However they did not replace the hand towels we had put down on the floor and just left us with 2 used large towels. So it is a great place in a good position but if there are problems nobody seems to care. I don’t think it was good to leave us with a very wet slippery floor for so long.
