The location was quite quaint and the Dutch styled staircase was not for the faint of heart. However there is an elevator, which to our amazement operated in complete silence.
The breakfast/sitting area is quite nicely decorated and very charming. There is also an outdoor sitting area too, but as it was winter, we did not use that space. Our party didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but it looked to me a small spread of cold cuts and pastries/bread. It also looked like you can order something hot like an omelette with the staff. When evening comes around, there are teabags/wine set up for guest use. There is an honesty bar.
The room had newer furnishings compared to other European hotels. Turndown service was provided only on the 1st night. It's only a 10 minute walk to the nearest bus/tram stops so things were very convenient.
