Great stay super nice staff loved the amenities and great beds and showers. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Amsterdam.

The location was quite quaint and the Dutch styled staircase was not for the faint of heart. However there is an elevator, which to our amazement operated in complete silence. The breakfast/sitting area is quite nicely decorated and very charming. There is also an outdoor sitting area too, but as it was winter, we did not use that space. Our party didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but it looked to me a small spread of cold cuts and pastries/bread. It also looked like you can order something hot like an omelette with the staff. When evening comes around, there are teabags/wine set up for guest use. There is an honesty bar. The room had newer furnishings compared to other European hotels. Turndown service was provided only on the 1st night. It's only a 10 minute walk to the nearest bus/tram stops so things were very convenient.

The ladies in front desk are very helpful and friendly, truly appreciate their warm hospitality. We love the map and the restaurants list provided by the hotel, we have dined in two selected restaurants, and our experience were good.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly. We were met at the reception by Sasha. She explained everything, gave us keys . She was very professional.

Lovely boutique hotel, a little bit out from the centre but in a very quiet neighbourhood very near to museum sector. Helpful and polite staff, great honesty bar, lovely breakfast, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean.

Clean hotel, nice staff and good location.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet part of town. A few niggles for the price point - the service was a bit bureaucratic and slow with lots of processes that didnt actually save any time (such as “check in” before arrival to the hotel); hot water in breakfast room difficult to operate and unclear. However lovely comfy rooms which were very clean

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the honesty bar was a great touch! The bed was comfortable, room was spotless with a great shower and room facilities.

The hotel has a nice small living room area and a courtyard where one can have drinks in the evening or breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but have good mattress & excellent bedding. The area is next-door to many museums. Altogether a great choice.

The De Ware Jacob Hotel is a beautifully renovated early 1900 building that has been tastefully decorated and setup to make you feel at home. It is clean with everything needed. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is just a ten minute walk to the Van Gogh museum and the #12 tram that takes you to Dam Square and central station. We have already recommended it to friends!

The reception was great! We arrived quite early and a room was ready for us.

Our stay was perfect. The rooms were beautiful, The staff was friendly and helpful. Stay here! It’s a lovely area of Amsterdam.

The staff and attention to detail at this hotel are second to none!!! The food, the location, the beautiful hotel itself…this is our go to now for Amsterdam!!! Couldn’t recommend more

Quiet!!!

On our way home from Italy we decided to stop for a night in Amsterdam. What a surprise that the hotel I booked was so outstanding! Everything was perfect, the beds, breakfast and staff! Will definitely stay there again when we return hopefully next year.

Great location near Rijksmuseum and VanGogh Museum However there is little or no staff to help getting luggage up or down the front steps. Beds were super comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Stairs are very steep and narrow. There is an elevator. Front desk will supply a list of neighborhood restaurants. The one we tried was great.

This was a nice, small boutique hotel with an elevator! Excellent staff, great breakfast but just make sure to be at breakfast at the time you signed up for or you'll miss it. 5 minute minute walk to the tram. 8 minute walk to the Van Gogh museum. Grocery store near the museum. Nice and quiet!!

Absolutely loved the stay. Location is great, quiet area, safe one as well and easy from transportation perspective, while museums are just a few min walk Our room had a little garden-balcony, which was an extra bonus for us

We loved everything about the hotel. The bunk bedroom was efficient and comfortable, the breakfast was superb, we enjoyed sitting in the garden when we wanted to retreat from the city for breaks but most of all the people were extremely helpful and kind. Also, very well situated.
