Old school pub with a difference all staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to all !

Nice place very convenient and good location

Very nice staff - friendly, hard working, good service. A very nice lemon drink on tap. Chips good texture crunch and tastw however not a fan of the lemon salt. Aioli was good wish more were to dip into. Room was good except for peeling paint patch that uglied room slightly. Nicely folded towels. Good bedding and bed size. Unfortinately no ac so fan had to be going for whole night as window was just for decoration. Toilet and sinks very clean, as well as the kitchen laundry area. Very clean. Shower glass could use a bit of jif but not unbearable. Water pressure was mid. Exit could use a nice carpet clean vacuum and stair reinforcing and some more lighting. Would stay again and location is good and public transport is accessible.

Sam provides a really good offering for the ex back packers who don't want the price or fussiness of a hotel. A great pub with a varied customer base, always busy and has very pleasant helpful staff. Showers and kitchen serviced regularly by cleaning staff. Beds comfortable, nice towels and tea/coffee, kettle in the room. Washing and drying facilities a real plus.

Great priced

No mirror in room and no milk (powered or long life) for tea and coffee in room. Didn’t realise there was no TV in room. Once patrons left hotel it was very quiet. It was great as there was a shared kitchen with washer and dryer as well as iron and ironing board.

Room was nice and tidy but so dirty under bed. Bathrooms/toilets were nice and clean. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would be nice to have air conditioning or a fan already in room.

After not being able to contact them for a late check-in, they were very apologetic and explained the reasons why. It was more than enough for what I wanted, and the Chapel Street precinct was easily reachable by foot. The train station was even closer. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is its own night spot tucked away from the business of Chapel Street with a vibrant life of its own.

Well this was a little hidden gem that needs to be unhidden Immaculate and stylish bedroom Don’t think room above a pub

Great value, good staff and great location

Good for the price paid.

Staff is nice . It would be great to have hair dryer provided . Hotel still under renovation. The bread block my way out ( see the pic) . Not for bringing luggage as you need to carry them there climb the stairs . There is only one toilet and one shower place for all genders . No central heating . The bed blanket is thin

Tidy, comfortable and well presented room, great facilities and location. Although water was not hot enough in the shower.

I love the college lawn so much

I liked the historic old building. The little kitchen was very handy. Didn't like all the noise, and didn't like the faulty toilet door catch, ...and didn't like the huge lack of parking.

Simple ageless barrloom hospitality. Excellent Marinara.
