I recently stayed at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, and overall, I had a good experience. One of the hotel's biggest strengths is its location. Situated in the heart of Chinatown, it is surrounded by convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, numerous restaurants, shopping areas, and local businesses. Whether you are looking for Chinese cuisine, halal food, or other dining options, you will find plenty of choices within walking distance. The area is also lively at night, with restaurants, cafés, and entertainment venues remaining open late, making it a convenient place for travelers who enjoy exploring the city after dark. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, and the room was well-maintained and provided everything I needed for a comfortable visit. My main concern is accessibility and traffic around the hotel. Due to its location next to a Hindu temple and along a relatively narrow and busy street, the area is often congested, especially during the day and evening. There is no dedicated drop-off or parking area directly in front of the hotel lobby, so taxis and ride-hailing vehicles typically have to stop briefly on the roadside. In many cases, drivers will ask passengers to get in or out quickly to avoid blocking traffic. In addition, the road leading to the hotel is slightly sloped, and guests often need to walk a short distance from the roadside to reach the entrance. When requesting a taxi or ride-sharing service, it is usually more practical to wait outside on the street rather than inside the hotel, as vehicles cannot remain stopped for long without causing congestion. This may not be a major issue for most travelers, but it is something worth considering if you are traveling with elderly family members, young children, large amounts of luggage, or anyone with mobility challenges. Overall, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Chinatown Kuala Lumpur offers good value for money, clean rooms, friendly service, and an excellent location for exploring Chinatown. However, if easy vehicle access and a convenient drop-off area are important to you, the traffic situation around the hotel is something you should take into account before booking.

For a mid range hotel this was a fair stay. positive things: * great water pressure in the shower * decent room size * could see the menara tower from the room hair dryer and bedroom slippers provided * good location especially if you like indian food since there are indian restaurants close by * right opposite the puduraya bus stop where you can take a bus to genting negatives: * not even a small mirror in the room * housekeeping staff were clearly not attentive - right on check in, we noticed they had forgotten to clear a previous guest's towel hanging behind the door and there was no toilet paper - on day 2 we ran out of shower gel and it was not replaced - stayed for 4 nights in a triple but no replacement of body lotion - after the 2nd night left the sign to change the bedsheets but they did not

The ratio between bedroom: bathroom, was like 40:60, the bedroom was very small, even my medium luggage has difficulty to unload. The room wasn't soundproof at all, there 's a lot of noise from the aisle from neighbors, in the morning and evening. There 's no free water dispenser. Lift seems wasn't maintained, there 's 1 time I & other stuck inside, and the brake activated, and the lift going down slowly to LG floor, please do make a maintenance. The room was clean and standard. Location: was good, near petaling street chinatown.

The room was very cramped, no toilet paper or room tissue was given, it was subject to terrorism tax which they said was not included in online bookings.

Overall the hotel is okay, clean and the staff are friendly. Only at check-in we were asked to pay another tax of RM 20 because it didn't include tax. Please be careful and read first, because when I booked there was no information that it didn't include tax.

Would choose another hotel. The lift was broken when I was staying there and there 's somebody stuck inside. The bathroom was kind of humid.

Small room but cosy and comfortable. Too noisy at night, the voice from the outside was too loud, we can hear the people talked clearly.

Checked in for the first room, inside was very dirty and looking somebody use the room before and then enters the room, the bath tower looked like is used before and did not change. The door is broken and the bed has only one pillow. After complaint and change another room. Checked in the new room, looks like best than the first checked-in room. After going out and back into the room, only see some food hidden inside the cloth board (top sideboard). The cleaner was not clean after the customer checked out. The safety box is very dirty and can't use and the surface has dust. The tower hanging behind the door is used by others but cleaners are not clean and taken out from the bathroom. After checking in, I go take one new tower because only see one tower inside the room. After going out and back, they only know why only left one tower. Another tower is used by others after the cleaner cleans the room. Another problem is bath soap and hair shampoo is the same. Not different. One soap from another customer below the water bowl. See the uploaded picture, dirty and full of bacteria mould? Very disappointed to stay at this hotel and outside the hotel name still did not change. It will be hard to find because booking name (Ramada Encore) but staying at city xxx hotel

The service was good. However, the location was not really strategic, the room was pretty narrow, the safebox was not provided. The check-in procedure took quite a long time.
