Very disappointing - Unprofessional service and poor problem handling. I was extremely disappointed with my booking experience and service at the Ocean Beach Hotel for a Deluxe City View room (stay period July 8–10, 2026). The main issue that was very disturbing was the transaction procedure and the response from hotel management. The hotel immediately deducted the full amount from my credit card balance well before check-in, even though the usual procedure in the hotel industry is only a temporary hold (pre-authorization). When I attempted to confirm this, the hotel service was completely uncooperative and instead shifted the responsibility to the booking agent without providing a solution or adequate assistance. The lack of concern and poor communication from staff/management made this experience extremely unpleasant. Highly not recommended for guests who expect payment transparency and responsive service.

Second time staying at OBH.. still the best and most enjoyable.

This was my first experience staying at the Ocean Beach Padang hotel. I booked 2 Prime Sea View rooms, 2 of which included breakfast. It was a very unpleasant experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist. When I got my room, it turned out to be on the second floor with a mediocre sea view (photo attached). Breakfast had very little variety, and when I requested fried eggs, I was also denied access, with a very unfriendly response from the restaurant staff. The food served was also not varied for such an expensive hotel with such a mediocre view. For a room priced at 1.2 million rupiah per night, this is highly not recommended. I also left a shirt behind after checking out, and they never contacted me to inform me that something was left behind, and I found this very unprofessional. This was my bad experience staying in Padang. I rarely write reviews, but I was forced to write this so this hotel can improve in the future. Please also pay attention to colleagues like this.
