Toilet was not clean. There are 2 TVs - 1 remote which didn’t work. Roof AC units of neighbouring building extremely loud. No mention when renting that the street is closed and under major repair. The washer & dryer always had towels from cleaning staff. No response to messages nor voicemails about non working TV remote. I do not recommend.

One of the walls is in need of repair (hole in wall), the toilet seat was coming off (we fixed it ourselves) the bathroom light didn’t work over the sink. One of the wall decorations is falling apart and barely attached to the wall. The elevator could use a clean. The duvet appeared dirty (but the sheets were clean). Bed was comfortable. One of the electrical plugs was very loose. The air conditioner was very noisy. The rest was ok. The location was great. Everything else worked.

Second time staying here and it was awesome! Beautiful apartment and very well located!

Good spacious place and service

Had a very pleasant stay at Bakan, the unit was spacious, clean, had good amenities and the team was very responsive!

I made a reservation two days in advance, but even by the evening of the check-in day, I had not received any instructions on how to check in or obtain the code to enter the building. I believe I would not have received them if I hadn’t contacted them myself. I did not find the operation to be professional, though I appreciate that they responded politely. More importantly, the most troubling issue was that at 3 a.m and later., drunk people were shouting loudly in the hallway and knocked on my door twice at different times. I was scared by the lack of security at this hotel and could hardly sleep out of fear. I don’t know whether they are guests or outsider who had bypassed security, but the security measures were clearly insufficient to prevent unauthorized access from outside. As seen in the photo, there was no reception desk on the first floor, and anyone who knows the code can freely enter. I strongly felt the need for enhanced security.

Great find in the area. Spacious 1bd/1ba that was plenty of space for a solo traveler. Property management was very communicative. A few small matters that should attend to: shower head definitely in need of a wipe down; I don't know how thoroughly all floors were changed--I dropped something near the foot of the bed and when I went to pick it up, saw a lot of debris and even a nail clipping right at the edge of the bed; light over the bathroom sink was out; no way to turn off the lamp in the living room without unplugging it (knob for switch is missing). Other than that, a really solid lodging option.

Hard to find, and to get the door code. But other than that it was good. Close to everything in walking distance. Alot of restaurants and shopping

Beautiful apartment in vibrant area

Unit was clean, close to shops and very spacious. Communication with the host was excellent. Very easy to reach.

We were contacted the day before we were to check in that there was a problem with the plumbing in the apartment that we had booked, so they would be putting us in a different apartment. When we got in, they had put us in the original apartment, which had a bad smell covered with air freshener. We decided we could live with the smell, but then had trouble with the tub being dangerously slick and the smoke alarm chirping a low battery alert every 15 seconds, starting at 4am. We sent a text and an email asking them to fix the smoke alarm and bring a mat or extra towel or anything for the tub. They never responded, so the second night we all four used the one shower that wasn't a fall hazard. The smoke alarm went off at 4am again, but at least we were faster at getting it stopped. I appreciated the initial communication before we checked in, and the apartment was clean and spacious, but the issues we had were in no way addressed. We would not stay again.

Big cool place

Pretty good location, overall. But the check in experience was pretty bad. The owner sent out a follow up after confirming the reservation, among other things wanted a selfie of me next to my ID. Due to where I was, I didn’t see it for a few days. No one has ever demanded this of me before. What’s more, the link they provided to upload my photo didn’t work. I was in areas with limited cell service so I couldn’t keep trying. There was something weird in the address link they gave for the property. Maps on my iPhone wouldn’t find it and my cab couldn’t find it either. Eventually I got there, but didn’t have a link to the owner. Fortunately another guest came along and provided the phone number to call in and get this resolved. Like I said, a pretty good price on a pretty good property in a good location. But the checking process needs work.
