My wife and I booked our honeymoon for a couple of days at the beautiful Duck Bay Hotel. It honestly was one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We booked a Suite and got room 1 overlooking the incredibly scenic waterfront of Loch Lomond. As soon as we walked through the door, the view made us speechless, you really just have to experience it! We didn’t want to leave the room, it was so fun staying in bed looking out the window at all the swimmers, paddleboarders, boats, and jet skis riding up and down the loch! The double bed was huge, very wide, comfy and not just two single beds attached together (which annoys us at other hotels!). Dinner at the restaurant was brilliant too! My wife had the highland wagyu burger and I had the fillet steak, very tasty. For dessert we had the panna cotta and I had the cookie dough skillet with biscoff icecream (you need to try this, it was so good I ordered another one the next night!). Service with a smile, speedy, chatty, they made the dinner a great experience. After dinner we relaxed in the Duck Bay Marina and had drinks outside in the sun next to the water. We ended the night taking some pictures on the pier where you feel like you’re swimming in Loch Lomond. We had an absolutely amazing time at the Duck Bay Hotel and are actually planning another trip for next year… we’re just hoping room 1 is available again!! 😂

Take an umberella for the walk from the hotel to the resturant as there is no cover outdoors. There is no air con in the rooms had the leave the patio door open during the night.

Staff were excellent, we had a suite do the view was amazing. Only downside was that we couldn’t open the windows and the room was hot - but overall it was great

One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade toasted granola.

The only reason I will not return is that a week before my stay I noticed the room price across all rooms reduced by about £50 when I asked if a lake view room was available could I be allocated one I was snubbed off and actually didn’t even get an answer to my second email also staff at hotel not very friendly and night staff actually completely ignored us when we walked back to our room after dinner which I also found quite over priced

Hotel was excellent modern clean, the restaurant next door food wasn't as good as the standard of the hotel and the toilets were untidy.

Rooms are immaculate, but very compact. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Lovely lochside setting, next to a busy public picnic area. A car is needed to access any of the local amenities.
