Clean room, reasonable buffet breakfast, nice amenities

The breakfast featured many options such as scrambled eggs and waffles. The location of the hotel was convenient to downtown Parry Sound. It was about 2km(1.24 miles) from town.

This was our first time in Parry Sound, and we were not disappointed. The location, while not scenic, is close to restaurants, fuel, and shopping (There's a Walmart behind the hotel.), and it's not a far drive from the harbor. The hotel staff was really friendly, and we were welcomed with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were still warm and gooey and delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also really good with a nice selectinon to choose from. The hotel had a great feel to it, like family. We would definitely stay there again! As aside note, for anyone who might be staying at this hotel or others in Parry Sound, we checked in on a Monday, only to learn that a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays. However, we found a great one called Trapper's Choice Restaurant. Food was excellent, and our server was friendly and fabulous!

Nice clean New hotel. Plentiful breakfast

First impression - dead plants and unkept flower beds in the front of the hotel and dirty windows. The hotel is rundown and had an odd musty smell which was layered with frebreeze. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, or sink plug. We had to request towels as there were none in the room upon arrival. Furniture and fixtures show signs of excessive wear and large visible stains in hallway carpet. Bathroom shower had visible cracks in the base. Green algae in the pool area on the tiles. Guest bathrooms near lobby had no toilet paper. All for $305/night plus tax! Front desk clerk was rude and dismissive upon arrival. Would NOT recommend. So disappointing for a Best Western Plus.

Continently located for a road trip stop!

First they gave away our room and tried to tell us they were giving us a better room for the same price. This was a lie and we had to push to have them acknowledge that we werent getting what we booked. We arrived an hour after booking so we werent late or a no-show. They just simply sold us a room that they didnt have available or gave it to someone after we booked it. The elevator had a broken cookie on the floor for the two days we were there. There wasnt a desk in the room. There was a table, but no outlet around the area to plug in a laptop. The room, while spacious, was laid out oddly allowing the bright hallway light from under the door to be visible while trying to sleep. We placed a blanket by the door to block the light on the second night. The bed was comfortable but small and the edge was worn so it sagged making it difficult for two people to fit. All the staff, with the exception of the breakfast room attendants, were rude, on the phone, or talking to each other while blocking hallways. Overall the hotel is mostly clean and decently comfortable. It felt like it should be a good place to stay but that the oversight was lacking and the staff werent being managed. We are in town often and usually stay elsewhere but decided to try this hotel. We wont be back as there are other options for much less money and with more attentive staff.

A newer hotel and so it is spotless and has awards for its outstanding cleanliness. Staff at breakfast were delightful and helpful and attentive. Front desk was efficient and friendly. Would stay here again!

Fantastic all around

It was amazing!

W called to say our toilet would not flush. They called us back and said none was there to fix it. My husband did. A cleaning lady walked into our room when we were in it. Sha apologized but not sure why she was entering a room we just checked in

Check in was fast and everything was explained by very friendly staff! Room was very clean and beds comfortable. Great walk in shower. Breakfast in the morning was good with a great selection of hot and cold choices.
