Pretty decent stay for the price. Our room was insanely spacious, which was awesome because we needed to desperately repack all of our luggage in prep for a backpacking trip through Corcovado. The only downside was that our room faced the gate and the pool and is completely made of glass on that side which made it a bit awkward because you sort of had to make a choice between natural light or privacy. I would say it was only mildly inconvenient since we were only there for a night. Never had a chance to try breakfast here because we had an early start but the staff was kind enough to stop us and ask if we wanted some when they saw us uploading up our car.

The main thing that bothered us was spiders in the bedroom. The bunkbed is in the corner of the room and spiderwebs and spiders could be seen against the wall. Every morning I woke up with new spider bites! An iguana would hide daily above the outside door and watch you enter and exit. The lizards we got use to, the spider bites were itchy to deal with.

The space was easy and simple. Breakfast, pool, monkeys, spa, and good company. We are excited to come back!

Room cleanliness is very bad. Insects and bugs. Windows are not cleaned. There are bugs and insects. Property look from outside and inside are completely different. Not worth the money at all. Very poorly maintained rooms inside.

Stay was great, relatively relaxing and plenty of space inside the room. If you’re only looking for a place to sleep and do activities outside during the day, I would highly recommend. Other than a small pool, there is really nothing to do. I guess my only concern was it was a bit hard to locate as it didn’t have huge signs like other hotels nearby.

Should provide a microwave, towels were tiny and a joke, the window was cracked (3' long crack) and repaired with packing tape, door lock did not line up with the door jamb so to lock the door, it had to be pulled up by hand, the pool allegedly closed at 8 pm, but there were noisy people playing in the pool till 10 pm and the staff member who checked us in was mean about us having our friends who dropped us off stay and use the bathroom, as if they would break the rules and stay over night. Finally, on Monday morning at 6:30 am, they decided to start their roofing project and pulled off the tiles, then slid the tiles down a piece of aluminum and made loads of noise.

The property is very quaint, the rooms are large and fit our family of 6 just fine. The staff is great, the pool is amazing, and the views of the beautiful trees and wildlife were top notch. Each day a family of macaws would fly over the hotel while we were eating breakfast, it was breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is adjacent to a busy road with car park just off the road. The hotel is accessed by a series of steep, very uneven, steps not suitable for the less than agile with large suitcases. No english spoken at reception but google translate useful. Room was ok but the window looked out on a vertical wall less than a metre away so no view at all. Pool was very pleasant with chairs and loungers but noisy due to the road. Honesty fridge with water and beer but was rather expensive (Beer C2500, supermarket price C950). Running water supply failed for a while but came back later. Requests for additional items, eg extra pillows, fried eggs for breakfast, seemingly accepted but did not actually appear. (I did think breakfast was included but it was charged at $US 8 each per breakfast.) Frequent bus service (30 min intervals) stop nearby, recommend for going to Park Manuel Antonio and also Quepos town at C380 pp. Hotel Restaurant Mono Azul short walk direction Quepos, for dinner.

Colibri is not luxurious. Place was clean. Air conditioning good.We booked last minute and didn"t realize they have limited desk hours. Show up at 2 pm, you'll get your room, before 2 pm the place is a literal ghost town. You need to use your translator app if not fluent in Spanish. The problems with checkin and checkout were due to the language barrier. If you are an older traveler and prefer handrails, do not stay here! Colibri has 2 sets of trecherous stone steps with no handrails. The condition of the steps is very unsafe. They were able to do our laundry within a few hours which was a good thing. The lower rating is due to extreme safety concerns. I should have taken a closer look at the property's pictures. Thanks, had a decent night's sleep.

Really nice looking place. Very good for the price. Location is good if you plan to go to Manuel Antonio and Quepos but it is very hilly. Note that you cannot have guests. Other than that no complaints.

We appreciated our Stay at Colibrí. The room and surrounding areas were kept very clean. The pool is beautiful and there is a poolside bar that is open in the afternoon. Breakfasts are available for an additional cost. Owners and staff were very nice. One thing to note is that check in is by 8 p.m. or you need to make prior arrangements for staff to stay later. The only issue we had was that our window opened up to the reception desk so we felt awkward having the curtain open. That was a room specific issue though. We would stay here again!

Nice front office staff uniingual Spanish however facility is old, tired and our room was dirty. We left one night early and booked elsewhere. Towels threadbare, room only had very tiny windows. Worst stay of our trip - needs renovation.
