The directions as far as the parking and check in/ check you have something to be desired. But the the place itself was wonderful, and more than made up for that. The customer service was also great!

The apartment itself was nice. The lack of on-site customer service was negative. I had an issue that I tried to resolve via chat and by phone, but customer service was pretty useless and my issue was not resolved. I also found the front door propped open by a trash can one evening and questionable people entering the building, which was very troubling. The property would be great if there was some staff on site who can help whenever problems come up.

Great place for a family of four to stay in Old City. It was within walking distance of everything. We felt safe walking around - even after dark. Plenty of room, comfy beds, clean bathrooms and a great view. It had a kitchen and washer and dryer - was more like a luxury apartment than a hotel room. Before booking, I read the reviews - good and bad - and was aware of people's complaints about check in, parking, and the lack of a front desk. To be fair, it is very important to know these things in advance. You have to park down the street (we recommend the Parkominium a quarter mile away on 2nd St. for good overnight rates). It was a short walk with our luggage and we were able to go back to our car to drop things off before walking around Philly. Check in is handled remotely and entirely through an app. We were given a building and a room code that was activated at check in time and was shared via email (and it worked perfectly). If you're not tech savvy, then this probably isn't a location for you...but if you know how to download an app, you'll have no problems. And, since this is an apartment and not a hotel, there is no front desk and no one on site to talk to. We didn't have any issues to report or ask for help with, but I know some people are uneasy not having help onsite. That being said, if you know all of these things in advance, this is a really nice property and a great value and a good way to stay in the city. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

What I liked: ease of checking in and size of room. What I didn’t like: everything else! Property does not have parking and it is very difficult to find parking. We ended up getting a ticket with street parking. It’s very noisy! Pillows are uncomfortable and the sofa bed is like sleeping with on the floor. To top it off, we left behind a make up bag (yes I understand that was our fault) and when we noticed it, I contacted the hotel to get it back and housekeeping said it wasn’t there. We know 100% it was left behind. Who would want used makeup, yuck! All in all, probably would never stay there again!

The apartment was clean, freshly built or renovated, and well equipped. Self-checking in and out was smooth. However, the required setting up of an account on Sonder was cumbersome. confusing, and time consuming. The noise level in the unit was above average.

Enjoyed our short stay. Check in was smooth, amenities were great, felt like second home. Thanks a lot!!

No parking and staff does not give recommendations. Found a garage on spot hero that worked out. Location is great, walking distance to all of the major attractions, dining, etc. surrounding city is loud which we expected and was fine. Guests above and next to us were loud and there isn't anything stopping the sound from traveling which was annoying at times. Nice room and they provided everything needed for a nice stay. Rooftop patio was also nice. All interaction is via chat. Very obvious they had never been to the property as some answers were wrong, but we figured it out. No issues finding the building or using the code to get into the room. Overall worked great for what we needed.

The clear communications were lacking for the checking in and checking out process along with room access but the room was very clean and spacious and I appreciated the security of the building.

It should be noted that there is no parking included. So there is also confusing instruction i should look for parking instruction on the parking section on the web. also i need to register and download the app to register... all for 1 night of stay, this is extremely hectic for us.

Had a noise complaint for music even though our room was at the end and the volume was about as high as the TV would have been. Seemed excessive and clearly means the walls are ridiculously thin. Just beware that you need to be unnaturally quiet.

No ice in freezer and no wine opener in kitchen, but otherwise a great stay

Easy walk down 2nd st to Old City. Loved having the 2 bedroom apt with my family. The sound machine was great, i put ours near the front door. I think the windows in our rooms were fantastic bc we hardly heard the traffic; you moreso hear others in the building. I would def stay here again!

Sonder is such a cool concept. Basically renting an apartment but with a private hotel feel. I absolutely LOVE the concept and will continue booking with Sonders in the future for other trips. Super easy booking process, easy check-in. Excellent customer service. The Edison was great! Definitely staying at some of the other Sonders in Philly.

Great location

The location is great. Parking is a premium. Road noise takes getting use to, from beings close to a major highway. I was from the area so everything works out. Would rent again if needed.
