We went to the ripon races and this was an excellent base to go from . The cottage was gorgeous and the host gail was amazing very helpful and guided us on taxis . The nicest part was the extra touches gail put in the cottage for us prosecco biscuits all little extra things you might forget like toothbrushes very thoughtful of her . We have had the best stay in Swallow Cottage. It was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, you can see how much love and attention to detail has gone into it. Gail is the lovliest host and puts in special touches for her guests, we had snacks plus i mentioned our stay was for my husbands birthday and there was a balloon and prosecco waiting. Not to mention every other detail Gail has though about, you could literally turn up with clothes and food everything else was catered for. The photos dont do the rooms justice, much bigger than anticipated and the high ceilings give it a lovely airy feeling. The cottage is blissfully quiet apart from the odd braying from tge neighbours donkeys! We'll definitely we back to stay again. Thank you Gail for a perfect stay.

Gail was the prefect host. Communication was brilliant from start to finish. The cottage is fully equipped for anything you could want. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. Would definitely return if back in the area. Fantastic paddock area for our dogs. Completely safe and well kept.

We were attending a family function nearby. We found the cottage easily and check in details sent well in advance. The cottage was immaculate and so very comfortable. A lovely gift hamper awaited us. We also met the proprietor who was both helpful & delightful. We hope to return.

Amazing, last minute stay. We booked a 2 night weekend stay (last minute). From the moment of booking, Gail was attentive, helpful, friendly and immediately put us at ease. Excellent directions were given, and upon arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. We bagged a real bargain and everything was perfect with the cottage from start to finish. We used this cottage as a base to get to York (one of the busiest weekends due to Christmas Market), and although a little further out - the weekend was great. Thanks again to Gail and her team.
