We had room 17- a review of this room last September was awful. If accurate it has now been improved as it was comfortable and we had no issues with it. All staff were very good - friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent. Ample parking at front of property . Grassy area at back alongside the river with sitting area was very nice. Position of hotel is great with a short walk straight into Rye which is a lovely town with many places to eat - lovely old pubs and interesting buildings. Lamb house a NT property in town is well worth a visit. We stayed for 2 nights and enquired if we could stay another but hotel was fully booked. Would have no hesitation booking again if we wanted to revisited Rye.

Great hotel, free parking and perfect for visiting Rye. Breakfast was very nice also!

We mainly chose this hotel as it has a free car park on-site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu had a really good choice and was brought promptly. Room was clean and spacious and overlooked the river. We would definitely return and we recommend this hotel.

Very convenient location to rye town. Hotel was clean, staff were great…. Very friendly and helpful. Room was light and airy with comfy twin beds and plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Large on site free parking. Very good breakfast. We didn’t have a drink at the bar so can’t comment but it looked like it’d be well stocked.

The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly, polite and accommodating. The breakfast was good quality food - real butter, avocado, good bread. And there was good choice. I don’t know why but I didn’t expect that. Excellent attentive service.

We had a very nice 2 day break here. The room was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was particularly good. The choice was excellent. We found the staff very smiley and helpful too.

Excellent location , nice clean room and hot water and cosy and clean . Breakfast v good value staff were outstanding and even came round topping up our coffee value for money . Good parking

Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, especially as I have food intolerances. Free parking which is rare in Rye. Close to restaurants and pubs in Rye. We had a riverside room which is much quieter than streetside.

The hotel wad in a good location within 10 mins walk of the centre of Rye. Free parking was a real benefit. Hotel staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, quiet and spacious with a nice view looking out over the river. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. We enjoyed our stay at the Haven hotel and would thoroughly recommend.

Hotel looked care worn in places. Needs a makeover. Staff polite. Easily found. Everything was Easily reached on foot for Rye. Breakfast was good but could have had a fruit option. Parking on site was good. Hotel sign advertises restaurant but is no longer a restaurant

Friendly staff and clean Rooms.

Location is great, and having parking in Rye is a real plus. BUT ….. - no longer offering evening meal - a real downer for me - smell of bleach / cleaning products in bedroom and hall areas was unpleasant - poor TV reception. Kept going on and off. And when I asked at reception about this the staff member came 3 hrs later.

The River Haven is in a great position by the river, and a short walk to the beautiful historical area of Rye. There is plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly, and breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice.
