Our room was lovely, modern and clean throughout. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking at the property. Beautiful 4 star house/hotel. There was an event taking place when we arrived and there was no space in the restaurant for us for dinner, however the hotel staff were able to recommend their sister pub in the village, which was a very friendly traditional pub and we ate there. We can strongly recommend the full Scottish breakfast at The Abbotsford which was delicious.

Breakfast Staff

A cosy hotel in classic Scottish style. On the downside, it was quite hot at night, and there wasn’t even a fan in the room. Also, the breakfast wasn’t very tasty, although there is a wide choice of breakfast options. As I had the ‘Light’ option with salmon and avocado, the avocado was either spoiled or pickled in something spoiled, because it had a very strange taste. If it weren’t for these minor inconveniences, the hotel is lovely!

Beautiful location. Nice and quiet. Keep in mind it is an old building and the amenities reflect that.

Lovely welcome and a nice room. Not huge but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our evening meal and breakfast were good too

The hotel feels sparkling and fresh with spotless rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast and Dinner were appetising. The owners of the Abbotsford are trying very hard to make your stay enjoyable and we wish them well.

Nice hotel. We had a deluxe downstairs suite which was spacious & well appointed including a very comfortable king sized bed.Ate in the restaurant which was tasty & breakfast was very good value. Plenty of parking space.

Room cold first night heating not on. Plenty parking, friendly staff we didnt have breakfast but evening meals were very good.

Good food, nice rooms and excellent friendly staff

The Abbotsford was a lovely place to stay while spending the weekend in Callander. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was affordable and delicious, and the location was quiet. Only real complaint was that the door to our room would bang when the windows were open even a little amount. Easily remedied by putting a towel or extra blanket on the floor at the base of the door. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with 2 kids in a family room it was ideal and better than expected for the cost and location. Added breakfast which was great value too. Staff friendly, clean hotel and they even kept my daughter’s beloved teddy safe until we returned to collect . Would stay again

With over 2 weeks in Scotland and staying in 14 different places, this was one of the best places we stayed. The bar area and lounge were very welcoming and relaxing. Dinner on site was great as well, along with service. Very clean and I would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Abbotsford. Staff are lovely and the property is lovely too. Facilities are great. It was nice and warm and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Earplugs and tunnocks caramel bars were a nice touch. Its good value for the price you pay. Decor is a little tired / dated so not quite a those cute boutique hotel vibes but honestly for the price its great.

Lovely Hotel. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully presented. Bathroom spacious with nice shower and fittings. Breakfast in a well set out dining room and the menu is very good as is the breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Room lovely, clean and comfortable. Could have had the heating on higher though considering the weather. Staff great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast nice, you could tell the ingredients were quality.

Very near to town centre. Bracklinn falls is close by. Very good location
