We enjoyed our stay

I super enjoyed my stay here. It offers great value within it's price point. What I liked the most is that while being private enough, I didn't feel removed from life as it has a nice central common area with coffee and seating area that even has games available. It makes it easy to meet people if you choose to do so.

Nice big lobby with coffee, tea, hot chocolate... tables and chess and checkers, comfy sofas and even a take 1 leave 1 bookshelf. The grandkids loved it. Pet friendly

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times now, and every single experience has been positive. The staff are truly kind, patient, and welcoming people who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. There’s a warmth to this place that you don’t always find — it feels genuine, and it’s clear they care about their guests and the environment they create. I always feel at ease staying here, and that means a lot. It’s a place I trust and will continue to return to. We stayed at the Uptowner as a last minute decision on our family road trip through BC and we are so glad we did. The place was clean and quiet and affordable and super cozy! It felt like we were back in 1965, but still with modern TV and fridge. We were very happy with our stay at the Uptowner!

This hotel is a gem if your looking for reasonable cheep accommodation to hang your hat. Rooms were clean, hotel was quiet and check in was amazing. No hidden fees and easy check out

A quaint old building with character. Not fancy. Basic but clean. Good value for the price.

Clean room.

It’s an older building, but kept up and presented well. Having the rooms all access via a common ‘large living room’ area was a neat experience. The room had basic amenities, but clean and comfy, consisting the price. I’d stay here again.

The Internet was good. No breakfast included - just coffee

We were in a room with a queen bed and pullout sofa bed and when we pulled out the sofa bed we found a cell phone, necklace and a couple tennis ball under the bed. So you know it has not been cleaned under there for a while. When I stripped the bed I did notice some orange stains all over the mattress cover. Other than that, it is a wonderful stay when you’re with a large group of people, the common area is great for hanging and socializing.
