Quiet neighborhood- still walkable and access to bike paths . Gloria was very accommodating. Only minus hot tub out of order.

I would stay there again. Good value and served our needs for a 2 day stay.

I loved everything about it

This was a great weekend get away. Close enough to the city and beach for activities but far away enough to avoid the loud city noise. I would 15 out of 10 recommend this to friends and family and I would definitely stay here again!!

Didn’t know what quite to expect and I was absolutely stunned at how quaint and easy to park this was. This is an older house in a neighborhood that has been transformed into a guest house, but fit our needs to a T. If you’re not looking for something fancy-schmancy, I highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this place! Check in was super easy with the lockbox and Gloria (house manager) was communicative. I only stayed one night (wish I had more time) but the unit was perfectly stocked with a nice pull out couch, separate bed, fans, , kitchenette. It was incredibly clean. About a 10 minute walk or so to beach and then another 10 to marina. The outside space is incredible. Big hot tub with outdoor seating and plants. Roof top balcony with views for days!

A basement room with concrete floors and a dirty rug covering them, although there was a hot plate a microwave and a refrigerator, there was no kitchen sink. there were separate toilet and shower rooms but the sink in the toilet room was tiny and did not drain well, releasing sewer gas when used. Certainly, below our standards, we did not stay for the second night we paid for in advance. At nearly $250/night one of the worst rooms in my 50+ years of travel experience.

Our second stay at The Green Ginger Inn was just as wonderful as the first.This time, we stayed in the larger suite. It was large with a pull-out couch. The pull-out couch was comfortable for a pull-out, surprisingly. The suite was spotless. The neighborhood is so quiet, and we felt completely safe. We were comfortable parking our car there overnight and let our kids, 13 y/o, explore the neighborhood without supervision. I highly recommend the Green Ginger Inn and will stay there for my future trips to LA. The location is wonderful, close to the major highways and only 20 minutes from downtown when the traffic isn't bad. But you have to time it, as it is with LA.

Difficult check in process, as messages weren't received. The staff was under the influence. Upon entering the residence is the "air freshener" was so overwhelming it was hard to breathe, We ended up making other arrangements, and the staff was not helpful at that point.

Well, the life is full of experience. I arrived earlier to check the place. There was a previous guest who was up to leave but there was no one whom to give the key. I offered to wait. He told me that the place was okey, worth $70/per night. He had the only one nice room of the guest house on the top, with a good view,as at it shown the Expedia's page. The (manager?) lady arrived app. 30 minutes later. She told me I can not have this kind of a nice room, my room is down back (it was facing to the neighbouring wall). "Everybody gets what he paid for" - she said. I paid app. $131/night (395.43/3 nights). Really? The house is old, the roof is unsafe, damaged furnitures and dirty. No parallel bars or anything can protect you. Unsafe, especially for children! In the first night the heating and the TV had electricity problem but is was solved by the 2nd night. There are 2 parking lots in front of the house but if you miss them the street parking is safe. Old house, which means you can hear anything from the neighbours, I was kind of prepared for that but I agree with the previous complaint that the down floor is worst. The good part? The neighborhood is safe and the room is clean.

We had such a wonderful stay at the green ginger guest house. I was amazed at how quiet it was, even though it was in such a large metropolitan city. Gloria was a wonderful person to work with, and we will definitely stay there again in the future.

This was The Best Value for a Hotel I've ever had! It's a one room Palace with all the amenities you'll ever need. Perfect Location, in the heart of the Playa Del Ray Neighborhood of Venice Beach. Very Ritzy area. Staff was EXCELLENT. Super helpful and Hospitable. Family Owned and Operated. You feel Loved right when you walk through the door. Can't say enough about this place. They don't have anything close to this in Detroit for the price. I've stayed at several awesome Hotels in my short stay so far in LA. All of them were great in their own way but this place is Above and Beyond. You won't regret staying here, I promise.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and comfortable this place was. It was much nicer than a typical hotel.

I loved the energy and vibes around it. The two ladies I corresponded with, Mara and Gloria, were super helpful, kind, accommodating, and really cared about providing a good experience 👍

The place was clean but not 5 star. If you are not on the top floor be prepared to hear a lot of walking, water running, and talking from upstairs. The only sink to wash dishes was the bathroom. Double check which room you are booking. Average

Get the travel insurance for this place because refunds are not given when you get Covid, even when you notify them more than 48 hours prior. Expedia staff said they attempted to contact them multiple times on two different days and no staff could be reached. No refund being given, so I should receive an email with directions on how to get my key, right? Nope. Nothing but being told I’m harassing them via email. Again, get travel insurance! I have average scores on the property since I didn’t see it.
