Bathroom setup in 218 is dangerous. No grab rail, high sided bath, bath base higher than floor, no anti slip strips in key places., temperature of bath or hand basin varies according to how many other people on the floor are turning on their taps at the same time..... bizarre, and a recipe for scalding.

A problem with our pre purchased breakfast was sorted, but only after we supplied proof of purchase.

Staff are overworked. They have to check you in while serving at the bar. We were charged by Expedia and charged a second time when we checked in for the stay. Expedia refused to assist in the resolution, saying we had to work it out with the hotel.

This hotel is located very close to several restaurants. We easily walk to one each night. The staff upon arrival were frustrated and seemed to take it out on us. When booking with Expedia you can't use the check in kiosk at any Premier Inn. They only had one computer working and were irritated and had no immediate solution of how to pay for parking without a reservation number to place at the parking meter. It got sorted out, but felt like we were a problem to them. The room and parking space was good overall. Would stay here again, now knowing that you can't just easily check in. Mostly due to ease of food you can walk to.

It's a Premier Inn, so you know what you are getting. The hotel is seconds from the train station and the beach. The staff were superbly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. The bar was better than your average hotel bar, bit of a limited draft beer choice. Overall, highly recommended.
