Had a dinner reservation booked in the evening, but stopped by at noon for lunch and a quick restroom stop. Without checking, reception told us there was no lunch seating and we had to pay to use the restroom, as we weren't going to pay for lunch, regardless of our dinner reservation later. We ended up asking a waiter instead; turns out there were spots available, so did have lunch after all! During lunch, the manager came by and slipped us a euro to 'make up for the toilet charge' (which we never paid as we had lunch) and mentioned 'it wasn't meant to belittle us', which left us with a very poor impression to say the least. Food was great though!

We had a wonderful stay at this is a fabulous hotel mid June! A lovely, charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff and an elegant restaurant. It is located close to the Center of Rotterdam and Hoek van Holland! A stay in this hotel is a must while you are travelling in this area.

I would stay here again. Price could be lower, but the view are nice and the staff here is amazing. The close proximity to the small town is a short walk and is beautiful. Lots of places to have coffee or a beer.

Ground floor single room, quite basic but spotless and a very comfortable bed. At night a corridor fire door separates the rooms from the bar and reception, so there is minimal noise. Breakfast to a good standard, all the staff were attentive and professional. The lunch and evening meals options aren't cheap, but are consistent with local pub and restaurant prices. Excellent location for people and ship watching.

The hotel is generally nice and we had pleasant staff during our visit. It's not too far from town, so you can have a pleasant walk in to visit shops or other food establishments. Rooms: Small, but well done. The bed was comfortable and there was a desk. It would be nice to have some seating available so you had someplace to be when in the room, other than the bed (there was 1 chair). The most convenient window was locked shut, so unable to open. The window that could open, opened up from bottom and then rocketed out of your hand as it flung open. I had to stand on the chair, onto the desk, lean out of the window just to grab the handle in order to shut it again. Restaurant: Lunch and dinner were delicious, but the amount of food you receive for the cost is exorbitant. A bowl of soup I believe was €10, in which they brought an empty bowl and poured the soup in from a small pitcher. Nicely presented, but you received half a bowl of soup... Breakfast on the other hand was horrible. Everything was over-salted, especially the eggs. The fruit was not ripe, and pieces that should not be crunchy, were. Such a huge difference in quality from their 'restaurant' services. Conclusion: Had a pleasant stay
