Lovely family run hotel with a great sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless. Free parking in front. Loved the breakfast with sea view.

Parking was difficult and tight, limited spots available. For those not used to backing into a parking spot in rugged terrain… might be a challenge. Room was sufficient but black spots in shower and screws between bathroom and room not flush to the floor… someone could hurt themselves. Quiet, except in AM when neighbor remodeling his home. Beautiful view of St Jean de Luz.

Nice views whilst eating breakfast

The access would be difficult in a large car; it’s up a steep hill and down a gravel track so if you’ve got a Maserati, go somewhere more expensive! We didn’t have a sea view room but I wish we’d paid more to get one- the hotel is in a lovely, elevated position above the town. We had a view of the building site next door (oh well). Comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. We were particularly impressed with the buffet breakfast featuring local products - although at 15ish Euros, it wasn’t cheap.

I had a wonderful stay here at this beautiful hotel. The room was lovely, and the service was excellent. My only caution is for those with mobility issues- the beautiful views of this hotel are due to being on top a a large hill. If you will not have a car. I hope you are fit! 10/10 will stay again

Beautiful location

Lovely view!

Really cute place and it's really easy to walk to restaurants, bars and cafes within 5min. It's also a nice walk to he city centre which is 15-20min away but we didn't feel it took that long as the walk is by the water and beautiful scenery. Clean, comfortable and staff were nice. The parking can be a bit tricky for SUV and big cars as you need to drive up a narrow streets but once you park there you walk walk to everywhere so it wasn't an issue for us highly recommend this place.

Hotel was fine but the steep one car wide street with 2 way traffic was a fright! Hotel was very difficult to find as the sign said “private”. There were 95 steps to the town level and a short section was in poor repair.

Great location. The reception was mostly closed, although we had a severe issue with the cleaning of the bathroom.

For $70 a night it was a bargain with a sweeping ocean view. Driving up to the property was a challenge, very narrow and hilly and quite difficult to find but once there the view was world class.

Direct access from outside, private. Loved the room own veranda, shutters and patio foors etc. Like our own wee apartment

difficult to access by car. lots of stairs and no lift. the fridge was not working on a very hot day and the water in the shower the next morning was cold.

First class all round

There were lots of things we loved about this hotel - the views, its character and the staff. The room was quite small but most of all the photograph on Expedia makes it look as if the hotel is on / next to the beach. In fact the hotel is one of the properties up the hill. A steep and uneven set of steps takes you to sea level. However this and it being a little pricey for what you get, would not stop us going back.

Charming hotel overlooking the bay of St Jean du Luz. Very good value. My room had a balcony with a great view and breakfast and the price for the room were both very good value.

Located across the river, a short walk to town, with parking on site, and a fabulous view this is the perfect spot to visit the Basque Coast. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was delicious and delightful on the terrace overlooking the harbor. The room was modern and nicely decorated. Great stop for a night or two.

Very friendly and helpful welcome. Breakfasts were delicious, and with a fantastic view! Being up on the hill gives great views from both the room and the breakfast area. Only issue for us was the lack of blinds or blackout curtains - difficult to get a young baby to nap in a bright room!

Great for overnight stay on route to Santander. Car park a little on the small side.
