We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tano Guam and will definitely be back, as we make several trips to Guam each year.
The location is excellent, walking distance to everything: restaurants, shops, and the beach, which made getting around incredibly easy. The property and rooms are clean and well maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, even compared to other properties we’ve stayed at, including the Hyatt.
I agree with other reviewers that the shower setup is a bit odd, the bathroom floor does get wet, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.
Customer service overall was wonderful. Dino checked us in and was super friendly and helpful. On our first day, we noticed the shower head was broken and informed Ara at the front desk. She was very kind and had it fixed within the hour, which we really appreciated.
The only challenge of our stay was arranging a late checkout. We exchanged a few emails before arrival and spoke with Dino at check-in, who said he would follow up. When we hadn’t heard back, we checked again the next evening and were directed to Axel. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem very engaged in helping us, and the conversation was quite brief. We understood another guest was arriving and asked about paying for an additional room, but were simply told no, which felt like a missed opportunity.
On our final day, Ara informed us that we could store our luggage and use the facilities until our late-night flight, which we appreciated, though we didn’t end up using the option.
In the end, the positives far outweighed the small late checkout hiccup. With its convenient location, comfortable rooms, and genuinely friendly service, we would gladly stay here again.
