Rebooked and paid. Despite receiving confirmation and reminders of stay they didn’t have the booking? So had to wait for them to sort. Sofa bed basicallly takes up whole area of lounge. Lift limited to 2 people. Room cleaning disgrace - emptied bin but didn’t clean cups or bathroom and then there are charges against my bank account even though I didn’t buy or use anything in the hotel. Also no fridge in rooms

Stayed in the hotel as we were attending a function there. The hotel was lovely could not fault it. The function suit on the other hand was absolutely freezing, which ruined the evening.

Very slow reception to check in, pool closed until further notice ( doesn’t say this on website ) sauna broken , not hot water in room from sink , no signal for tv or internet, fire exits blocked with rubbish and drain pipes , rubbish all over the exterior areas and, food was average. Feels very disjointed and not what I expect from a hotel! Really disappointing as I stay in the area for work often! Fire doors don’t close, fire exit has chains on the door locking it ! Poor health and safety , stayed here 1 year ago and thought I would try after the refurb but still very poor. Previous emails to managers never got a reply !

I booked a junior suite. The room was really bare. No TV in the bedroom, only a bed, and wardrobe. The lounge had only a sofa and a desk. The hand soap was empty. Also the shower gel was empty too. I had to get out of the shower and find some in my case. The heating made a banging noise all night at random times. The door didn’t open and lock properly. I had a key card that was a waste of time as the door was broken. I had to back to reception and get a regular key to open another lock that had been added. When the door was locked it was not safe as it moved back and forth an inch. Very disappointed! Definitely not suite quality!

I got an adjoining room. Never asked for one but took it anyway. I felt i was lying next to the woman next door that continually coughed. I could easily hear what she was watching in her IPad and whose morning alarm went off 4 times between 5am and 6am. Oh and to top it off the hotel gave us another early morning fire alarm at 6am.

I booked here purely because of its location and wasn't expecting anything much but was blown away by the size of the room, it's cleanliness, it's modern decor, the gym, and the spa. For the price I cannot believe it!

The whole place was really cold, there was a heater in our room, but it had not been switched on even though snow and frost had been forecast. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was okay.

Polite and helpful staff, room was clean and well presented. No complaints at all about the stay but would caution against the breakfast; I was asked on checking in if I wanted to pay for breakfast which I did, the following morning I was informed that my choices were a very limited continental buffet, or full English breakfast. Any other breakfast items (even those cheaper than the full English) would be charged extra. I acquiesced to the full English and went to get some toast- the toaster machine drops the toast onto counter at the back of the machine, meaning you have to reach underneath and drag your toast out. I pointed this out and was told they didn’t know where the capture was to stop this. I cancelled my breakfast order and requested a refund which was processed immediately, the staff were very apologetic about it so I cannot fault the service at all.

Advertised as having a swimming pool. It does not have a swimming pool. Booked here three years ago, again advertising their non existent pool. Why are they still allowed to say they have a pool. Lots of complaints at checking out, all saying they had booked this hotel especially for the pool. It would not surprise me if in three years time it is still advertising a non existent pool.

This is a lovely hotel very welcoming from the start. We were checked in by Ishi who was friendly and extremely helpful as we're all the staff. The room was very clean and fresh and the bed extremely comfortable. The food was delicious both for the evening meal and the breakfast. Very good value as well. There had been lots of work done here recently and some more to finish all being done to a high standard. Would thoroughly recommend staying here very good value indeed.

Had a great stay. The staff are all great. I got the sense that many of the staff are quite new - but they are all really helpful and kind. The restaurant and bar are also really good. The rooms are clean and well appointed and modern. I will definitely come back.

Arrived at the hotel. Signage could have been clearer once turned off from the main road. Check in was great. Although we think we might’ve got our two rooms mixed up. I thought I’d requested a king size bed for mine, but we got a double and a sofa bed. But this could have been my error, rather than the hotel’s. They seemed embarrassed about a £50 pre-authorisation to cover any room damage - which made me wonder if they regularly had rough crowds in. Room 103: smelled of smoke on arrival, despite being clearly marked as non-smoking. So we left the window open whilst we went for a spa to air it out. Broken window handle that they must know about because there’s a hook screwed in to the frame to close it with. Bathroom tiny, but had everything that was needed. The room was clean enough, and had enough plug sockets for phone chargers. Spa: Disappointing: pool closed; steam room closed; didn’t find a drinking water tap to fill water bottles; nowhere to hang robes whilst in sauna; nowhere to put your toiletries whilst showering in changing room; missing handrails on steps going to sauna; inadequate signage both within the spa and to the spa from the hotel; nowhere to sit to cool off after being in sauna; lots of cubicles in changing room but no seat/bench in the cubicles, so nowhere to put bag/clothes etc. But it was a lovely changing room, and is likely to be awesome when it’s finished. (I’m presuming that it is unfinished?)
