The hotel was affordable and that is why we stayed. The location is amazing for doing things across the area. We took day trips to Natural Bridge, Charlottesville, Shenandoah National Park, and an apple farm, which are all less than an hour drive. There is also a HUGE antique mall right beside the hotel.
I will say that the hotel itself was mediocre at best. It has clearly been renovated, but still feels old. The room was clean, but it did have a damp smell to it. We literally bought a candle to help. The bed needed to be replaced. because it had areas that it was caving in and was no longer flat. Overall if you are on a budget and you are okay with a place to just rest your head, then this is a fine hotel.
